| I saw the email and in my opinion, he bended the truth to fit his agenda and I've lost all my respect for the man. I'd never thought I'd say this, because in the last election cycle I was all "Dump Trump" but now I say I hope Trump wipes the floor with these politicians. Ben Carson should do something about it. And the flash in the pan that has been flashing since08 has not hurt Trump's numbers one bit. | |

That's it. He knew what the email implied. And when ABC confronted him, he went on the attack. NOPE.

^^^^ THIS.......of course it WAS on the internet so it MUST be true.....Cruz isn't my first choice but really folks, one of my favorites, Carson, wasn't going to win in Iowa and your favorite Trump was NOT going to get his voters anyway! Do you REALLY know if or how many of Carson supporters swapped support....NO.....
IMO, you will see a big shake-up in the next month (after NH & SC) due to those dropping from the race. Huckabee, Rand Paul and Santorium have already dropped. Santorium has thrown his support behind Rubio. I don't think Trump will pick up support from the Paul camp but he "might" get a few of the Huckabee supporters.....

I don't think it had anything to do with Trump losing, but that's not the point.

Cruz, himself, did not do it but one of his staffers.....does that make him guilty or inept? IN the heat of the caucuses, do you think that Cruz, himself, is going to "monitor" every little thing going on around him.....of course, it would benefit Trump to jump on this to cover up the sh*t that he has thrown out about others. His statement......
One day after winning the Iowa caucuses, Cruz issued an apology to Carson after his staff falsely told Iowa caucusgoers that Carson planned to quit the race, calling it a "mistake." Cruz said in a statement Tuesday that his campaign staff saw a CNN report that Carson was dropping out, although CNN had not characterized Carson's actions that way. "Last night when our political team saw the CNN post saying that Dr. Carson was not carrying on to New Hampshire and South Carolina, our campaign updated grassroots leaders just as we would with any breaking news story," Cruz said in a statement first shared with CNN. "That's fair game. What the team then should have done was send around the follow-up statement from the Carson campaign clarifying that he was indeed staying in the race when that came out."

I have to agree with NJJ. I was just reading the article, and while Cruz's staff shouldn't have said that, Cruz did the more than honorable thing by apologizing. I don't know if you have ever worked in a company with many employees, but there is usually one that will say something really wrong and mess it all up, and I'm sure Cruz's staff is just the same. I don't think Cruz should be held personally responsible for what is staffer said, and when he found out about it, Cruz apologized. I don't see how that is cheating.
In my opinion, just from the article I read (from CNN), it sounds more like sour grapes in Ben Carson's part.

He is responsible for the actions of his staff. Someone has to be accountable. I don't consider this a "little thing", as I'm sure Ben Carson doesn't either! If he can't control his staff, how is he ever going to run a country?

No one said that Carson's votes would go to Trump. Most likely any votes would have went to Cruz and that could have cost Trump the win. It was odd how the polls all showed Trump ahead and then after the vote Cruz wins?

And if you truly believe the "polls", you are living in a fantasy world......how many times, do you suppose that voters don't answer their phone but the dummy down the road does???? IMO, Carson's votes would have, more than likely, gone to Rubio.....
Trump's delusion is that he didn't win because Iowa voters didn't give him enough credit for funding his own campaign.....maybe they just DIDN'T want him.....novel idea?
