Location: Oklahoma & Texas | There are probably pros and cons for each but I love my Bison..i custom ordered one last year a 3 h with 8 ft sw..has the full bathroom and every do dad...ramp..drops both sides ..hay pod..etc the RV company Coach bought Bison and has redone their interiors and upped the quality over Bison of years past..it's called Bison Coach now..says Bison on the nose but Bison Coach on rear door...I'm very happy with mine. No issues. And ordered it through NRS in Decatur and they were fantastic from beginning to delivery and even after... |

Location: Warsaw,NY | Can anyone who has owned these trailers please comment on pros/cons of both. I know a lot of trailers will have issues. I can not afford the high end trailers and i do not rodeo and haul a million miles, yet. To buy used has become a challenge as financing is way different than buying new. |

| If you aren't hauling all over god's creation and will take care of it/not abuse it, either brand is fine. Keep in mind some Bison trailers are made with steel frames. They have all aluminum too, but look into it if that's important to you. All Lakota trailers are all aluminum. |

Location: Usually on my horse | I have owned a Bison for 10 years I bought it brand new. I love the trailer....never had problems with anything. It has a slide out.....never any problems with that.it has all the bells and whistles. Everything still works perfectly and the outside looks great. I do have to replace the awning this year because of the wind catching it. Other than that....it has been a really good solid trailer for me. If I buy another trailer it will be a Bison. |

Location: The Great Northwest | They both are the same for quality to me. They both manufature there bottom line to higher grade of trailer. Bison has a Premiere at Dixie Horse & Mule Company at Wicksburg, Alabama that would be anyones dream trailer if they were on the highway. |

Location: Warsaw,NY | I have been told they r on the same level. i do see the lakota weighs a lot less than the bison. the prices are comparable. I plan on going to dixie horse and mule on my trip down south next week. I just don't want to run into a lot of problems down near road. I currently have a sundowner BP and that thing has taken a beating. Love hearing everyones opinions |

Location: Right Where I'm Meant To Be :) | all I can say is we have a Lakota bighorn and love it. We had a platinum that we bought new before this one and had tons of issues with it. I think they all can have some issues like anything else. Keep in mind they all make different levels /models of trailers and are not equal comparisons. Hope this helps . |

| there are people on her will say 4 star, eleite/ but not everyone hauls every weekend has that kind on money. go to the bigger show there are all kinds. dont be embarressed to buy what you can afford. if you only go light its okay to buy a lesser trailer. we all cant afford bloomers 4 stars or other equalivant. i bought and exxiss but it was ordered by one of there dealers, extra large stalls 14 foot sw, l shaped couch, walk in closet. i dont go evfery weekend and i go by myself and haul one maybe two horses. great trai;er for me. i live in virginia weather is bad for 4 months out of the year not as many shows as in texas. |

Location: Do I hear Banjos? | Having owned both....I can say our Lakota is a higher quality build. The flooring runs from the horse area all the way forward. The LQ is built on that same sturdy floor. Look under a Bison (or a lot of other value priced trailers) and you won't see that. We had the usual issues with the Bison...but we still enjoyed it. I knew what I was getting and it was what I could afford. It was just smaller than I needed once I got married and we had more horses to haul. The Lakota has been a pleasant surprise both in features and quality of construction. Definitely a great buy. We had ours built to our specs and we love it.

| Don't buy a Bison.......we have a 2014 4 horse with a 10ft short wall. We bought the trailer brand new. The first time we stayed in it we had horrible water leaks from the kitchen and bathroom sinks. It messed up the "wood". Bison paid to have it fixed under the warranty. Also the welds on our saddle rack all broke but one.
We found another leak this past weekend........!

| between the two- Lakota....
A friend ordered one through P&P- and a different trailer came in. She took it but after really thinking about it they took that one back and with the help of Lakota got the trailer she wanted plus a few extra things.
