Location: London Ontario | I feed a pound of triple cleaned whole oats and a pound of alfalfa pellets split between AM/PM. The they get a dash of salt, THE GastroPlus(about to be MM with double strength ulcer and reg. joint once GastroPlus is out), MSM and a cup of Flax Appeal(ground flax). All of this is watered down.
They then get access to second and third cut hay (timothy/Alfalfa - more alfalfa then timothy) all day on turnout(dawn to dusk) and half a flake (big square bale) at night.
She also gets 2 big scoops of timothy/alfalfa mini hay cubes at night watered down. Once watered down and absorbed its about 3/4 of a big bucket.
She is lean, happy and healthy. I am very happy with this combo. |

Location: 100 miles from Nowhere, AR | 3 pounds of alfalfa pellets and 1 cup of rice bran per day (split in 2 feedings) with grass hay/pasture for my horses in training. The geriatrics are getting 4-6 pounds of soaked alfalfa pellets and 3 pounds of rice bran with hay/pasture and they are wintering great. They get cut down in the warm months when the grass is good. |

Location: North Dakota | Per Day-split into 2 feedings: 2lbs whole oats 4lbs alfalfa cubes (I was using pellets but have transitioned over to Standlee cubes. I feed them dry w/ no issues and my horse prefers them. I do go through and make sure they are broken up as much as possible though.) flax supplement (or 1/2-1 cup whole flax) Cur-Ost A couple handfuls soaked beet pulp (to mix in powder) If I feel I need it, I'll add 1/2-1lb Renew gold. |
