| Regret is rooted in unresolved guilt. Regret is not something that pertains to what others do or the responsibility others have. Regret pertains only to what we personally can control, influence, or choose.
One of the challenges we face regarding regret is a sorting out of what was within the boundaries of our responsibility, power, ability, or decision making choice. Some things are simply beyond our control, and those are things we should not feel guilty about.
Was there something more I could have done? Did I fail to trust God?
If you trusted God in a situation to the best of your ability, lay down any guilt you feel. It's false guilt.
If you do all things from the heart in the Name of Jesus and not from your emotions, I believe you trust God. So don't continue to dwell on regret in your mind or heart. Let them go and trust God to deal with them in His way, in His timing.
If God has forgiven you, you need to forgive yourself and go forward in your life. Don't continue to beat yourself up over something that God has forgiven. If you content to relive and remind yourself of the regret, you will not have peace. You will bring this negative pattern of thinking and behaving into any circumstance that you enter in the future.
Remember always, what God forgives, He forgives completely.
What God heals, He brings to wholeness.
What God restores, He does so with our limitations placed upon a person's potential for sharing the gospel and being a witness of God's love, mercy, and grace.
Choose to live in such a way that you do your best in every task and in every relationship. Give your utmost and your best effort to live in a godly matter.
Choose to trust God in every are of your life, every decision. Every choice, and ervey opportunity He leads your way.
Choose to forgive others fully and freely.
Choose to pursue what God reveals to you as His path for you to follow.
No person can do these things in his or her limited human power. But WITH the Holy Spirit residing in us. We can turn from all forms of temptation to pursue the good works that God has authorized us to do.
Acts 24:16 I myself always strive to have a conscience without offense toward God and men. " That phrase " without offense" has been translated as " blameless".
The Hoky Spirit helps us to pray and respond to life as we should, including prayer for others and forgiveness of others.
For it is WITH God all things are possible
Have a BLESSED Day, live without regret
Faith and trust in The Lord are required to carry out our repentance and to walk in NEWNESS related to our habits, behaviors or attitudes. As you do this, you will live free of regret. And a life without regret is a life marked by prevailing peace.
Father God, guide me today to do all things that bring glory and honor to You Amen |
