I found out the MN clinic for the beginning of April is cancelled (by Ed) due to health reasons (for all I know he's having surgery scheduled or a family health problem or even a horse) and its just that clinic that's cancelled but without causing drama for posting this, I just wanted to know if everything was OK with Uncle Ed and if any of his other clinics were cancelled? I'll be about 20 min from his place come the end of March but I didn't want to ask to visit in case it was something serious! Hoping everything's OK!!

I think he has had to cancel a few...I've heard rumors of what is going on but that is it, just rumors. Praying he is feeling better soon.

Oh I'm not saying it's surgery, just saying it could be a possibility if thats why he had to cancel the clinic with such a far away date and didn't know if he cancelled others. Hoping he feels better soon though. :)

I talked to a friend who talked to him two days ago. Ed said he has Lyme disease and is not doing well. I wish him a speedy recovery.

This is what I had heard also thru a reliable source but Ed and Martha at that point were hoping for a different diagnosis.

Can I ask a stupid question since I know ABSOLUTELY nothing about lymes disease? I have 2 opportunities to go down to Texas and be about 20 minutes from his place one in the beginning of March and one the last weekend (from MN so great opportunities--I can either bring a horse or not) and he always talked about being open to calling him at home anytime during his clinics. I was going to call him today until I saw the update and I guess you guys are the best ones to get an opinion from next to calling him or Martha!

I was going to ask if I could trailer over to his place and pay for a lesson or even stay and ride the week and pay for that (I'm not sure if he allows this so I would of course need to find out) and I would 100% be more than willing to help out too (clean, saddle, feed ect!) like I would be doing at the other ranch 20 min away. I have experiance in doing this for other places and I've been to 3 of Ed's clinics so I'm definitely no expert but I have some knowledge on his techniques. Opinions on calling and asking now that we know this update? The first trailer would only be able to drop me off so I unfortunately wouldn't have a place to stay but the second I could trailer in and out or stay in it. All I want to do is learn so I definitely don't care if I bring a horse or not but I really don't want to bother them as I know nothing about this disease...

Normally Ed does do private lessons on a limited basis at home, he is not doing it at this time though.

Ed does have Lymes Disease. I talked with him a couple of weeks ago and it is really getting the best of him.. As someone else said, he is usually up to having people come to his place for private lessons. But not at this time.. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Coming from a man that never sits still, he has had to not do much of anything. I think he is going a little stir crazy!

Thank you guys, I just did a bit of googling and it does not sound good! :( He is definitely in my thoughts and prayers and maybe when I'm down there I will send him a little gift basket or something! From what I've read it's hard to cure (not curable?) but he's a pretty strong man and I hope he bounces back from this!

As of now our July Ed Wright clinic in Iowa is still on. If some of you couldn't get to a spring one keep the IA clinic in mind. We are hoping Ed heals up and is back to his ol self soon.

I have Lyme Disease. A lot of people don't know a lot about Lyme and how bad it truly is. It can be very hard to get a diagnosis on because most doctors really don't want to test for it. I was pretty much flat on my back for two years and I'm younger than he is. I wouldn't count on clinics anytime in the near future. I'm getting better but please recognize this can be a very serious disease and it isn't curable only manageable. Prayers he finds treatments that help him.
