I am looking for someone to start my 3 year old for me. Would prefer someone that has a cutting horse and natural horsemanship background. Also won't break the bank. Just need 30-60 days. Thank you ahead of time!

Saint Stacey
I really like Cody Crow. He's into the ranch horse versatility show stuff. He's broke 3 for me and done a really nice job. I haven't sent him easy ones either. He sends them home with a brain stil intact. The price ends up being $750 a month. $350 outside board
(run with shed
) and he charges $400.

Jim and Jill Cook
(J&J Cook Performance Horses
) from Erie are some of the best cowhorse trainers in the state. I'm not sure if colt breaking is a specialty of theirs, but they're so fantastic it wouldn't hurt to call.

Blue Allen, hands down. Love that man and the handle he puts on one. World champion, down to earth, will actually ride your horse, not beat on him, and when he's ready to start on cows if you go that far it doesn't charge you an arm and a leg.

Cody Stark, I believe he is around Grand Junction but not sure. He is Jody Sheffield's twin brother. Jody is expecting or I would suggest her as well. They both are very handy, Cody is training reining horses and Jody speaks for herself, she also showed cutting and reining horses when we were in High School.

Cody Stark is in Hotchkiss, CO but he is so booked that unless you have a super horse to get started for the futurity you aren't going to be able to get in with him. I used to ride with him every weekend before I moved to Kentucky. He puts an amazing start and handle on those horses and is no non-sense, but like I said he's so booked up you'll have a hard time getting in with him.
Edited to add, that Cody is a reining trainer. Not a cutter and he doesn't do the whole natural horsemanship mumbo jumbo lol.
