| It's been a while since I've been on the barrel racing scene (like ten years) but I've bought a horse and I want to make another go of it. I've noticed that everyone seems to have their own sports medicine boots now. So, what are your favorites? The new boy has tree trunks for legs and all my Professional Choice boots from back in the day don't fit him! Thanks, y'all! |

| I use Classic Equine but you may want to order large. Smith Brothers has a bunch on sale right now. |

| I prefer the Classic Equine Legacys. They fit better than the others I've tried. |

Location: Where you need a paddle... Oregon! | My first choice are the Professional Choice Ventech. I can't get the Classic Equine Legacy's to fit right to save my life. Tried different sizes and everything. There's always a gap. |

Location: North Dakota | I'm pretty picky. I like the Professionals Choice SMB 3, which are getting harder and harder to find. I'm not a huge fan of the VenTech. I feel like they are too thin and flimsy feeling?
I tried Classic Equine Legacy in multiple sizes but I could never get the darned darts to line up where they should. I also felt they were harder to apply and too bulky. I am curious about their new CrossFit boot though, but I think they may just still be bulkier than I would like.
I have not tried it yet, but I am curious about the Weaver Prodigy boots. They look similar in design to the SMB 3 which is why they peak my interest.
My younger horse who will be 5 this year has amazing bone structure. I've always only used medium PC boots on all my horses I've ever had, and I have to have a large for his hind legs. But I can't do a large on the front because then they are too tall (he's stocky but has short canon bones). He's been an interesting fit, haha. I've never had so much trouble fitting a boot as I do with him!

Location: N Texas | Iconoclast, hands down. Be sure to MEASURE your horse, they run small! Don't assume that just because they wear a certain size in one brand, that they will wear that size in Iconoclast, because they usually don't. A lot of horses (mine included) wear different sizes in front and back. |

| Professional's Choice all the way. I also tried the CE and can't get the darts lined up right...so wondering what it does to my horse's legs while he wears them? |

| I've gone away from western sports medicine boots. They don't actually support anything very well, so their primary function is protecting against impact. I don't like them, they're heavy and hot. My mare hit herself really badly in polos and was out a month.
I went to Veredus boots, and love them. They're hanging tough against heavy use, don't come off, are easy and fast to put on, and are pretty all around bad ass. Good enough for $500,000 eventers, good enough for my little cowbred for sure.
I use Classic Equine bell boots. |

Location: Nor Cal | I've tried several brands. My top favorites are Iconolast, PC VenTechs, and the RES boots are pretty nice also. I HATE the CE boots, they seem bulky to me and I can never get them to line up correctly. |

| I like my professionals choice smb3 the best but haven't tried everything out there either. I really do t like CE either. I'm with everyone else on getting them lined up and the bottom strap never goes where I think it should without being too tight or leaving a gap. I ordered some flow boots because I really like that they will keep dirt out, stay cooler, and allow proper circulation. So we will see
Off topic but if u have ordered flow boots I am wondering how long it takes for them to get shipped out and receive them? PM please, not trying to hijack the thread.
