| Two products I really like are Curost stomach and forefront equine digest. The Curost product is pretty darn expensive. Another one I have used is jerimiah ulcer repulcer. |

| I've used gut I ntegrity from Oxygen. Oxymax is also a good product. Martha and Ed Wright endorse it. Covers ulcers, lungs, joints. You don't need another supplement when you use it. Forefront equine also has a good product. |

I am doing this right now, however, I don't think she needs to be on it all year round...looking for something after this is done. |

I use and love Forco, but not sure it does anything for ulcers. Keeps the belly happy though.
I revamped my feed program and elminated all grains on anything that I can. Pasture horses just get pasture, salt & mineral. They don't even get supplements. They do get a handful of oats just to keep them coming to the pickup when I honk and check on them. Anything in the corral has free choice hay. They used to make a mess of their round bale, but I bought a slow feed net and it keeps everything clean and they can still munch all day. The constant food in the belly does wonders to keep their stomach happy. The only thing I grain with actual processed grain is a super old pony gets Active Senior and so does my other old horse when he is in the corral for the kids to ride. My weanlings/yearlings are on Ultium Growth until they go out for spring grass sometime next month. If I am giving anything in the corral a supplement I use soaked alfalfa/beet pellets. |

I second the Cur-OST products. No acid buffers to affect nutrient assimilation or other side effects due to undigested food going into the hindgut. |

Cur Ost Stomach for me, too. Plus revamping my feed program and 24/7 turnout. |

Location: Southern Indiana | I used to feed F1 Noni and I can't say it really does anything to the gut, but I haven't ever really had any gut issues. My horses looked good on it and I felt like my gelding ran harder on it though. If I had to pick one I'd choose THE. I think the best way to maintain the gut is a no corn or molasses feed, free choice grass hay, alfalfa, and lots of turn out. |

I was told/under the assumption that once you have done a month with THE GastroPLUS then you only need to use it the day b4, day of and day after your race??? |
