Crazy Doggy Mommy Posts: 1419 Location: Where Governor's make the liscense plates	One horse had a bleeding mouth and low and behold he had a mouthful of foxtail.... Checked everyone in the barn (22 horses) and atleast 10 had inflamed gums with the thistles stuck around the front teeth and gums. Two of them had horrible smelly infected mouths. We picked at teeth, rinsed mouths and I brought some human grade Clorohexidine mouth rinse down and gave the bad ones a squirt of it to help kill bacteria. We have NEVER had this happen. Have any of you???

A Somebody to Everybody Posts: 41354 Location: Under The Big Sky Of Texas	Foxtail is awfull, bought a mini a few years back cause I felt sorry for him , his mouth was a mess, had smelly breath and inflamed gums, got him home and found he had a mouth full of foxtails, the people the had him didnt know any better and just thought he had a bad tooth. Poor little guy so glad I didnt walk away from this buy.

I pulled out all that was inbeded in his guns and just rinsed out his mouth 3 times a day with a water hose and you could tell the difference in him in a day just getting the foxtails out. No more drooling and the swelling went down within a day..
