| Hi I have an awesome little cowbred mare I absolutely love. I have been tossing around the idea of AIing her for the last yr. opinions on stallions?
My criteria: stud must be 15.3hh+ I would like to put some more height on the foal. ( my mare is just 14.2) and I'm very tall.
Must have a nice big sloping HQ on him. And low hocks.
And must have good feet and good bone.
My mare has nice feet and bone, she's extremely smart and willing and has never ( knock on wood) injured herself. I can't even remember ever having to doctor her for a cut even.... She is def. not accident prone.
I had tossed around the idea of breeding her directly to DTF. ( as crazy as his stud fee is ) but more reasonably prices studs I like firewater ta fame.

| I like Smoke N Sparks on a cowbred horse I want to say he is proven on Poco Beuno, Doc Olena, Leo, and a few other cow/foundation bred horses. |

I know a Frenchmans Guy stud that has crossed great on cow breds. He has been crossed on Tuff & Busy as well as a Smart Chic Olena granddaughter with stellar results. He is palomino, 15.3. black feet and great bone. Very balanced and has a wonderful disposition. His dam is one of the nicest producing daughters of Pie In The Sky. He won futurity money, is currently running in the 1D and his first colt old enough to compete is also a 1D/futurity money earner. http://bakerquarterhorses.org/guys-piece-ofthe-pie.html
This stud ^^^ was my first thought as well. Sunfrost horses back onto cowbred mares are solid gold in the arena.
I also like the few Firewater Finale on a cowbred that I have seen.
FWIW, I like her bottom side with the Reminic - those horses are pretty neat!

| I really like Perks Alive and Firewater Ta Fame on a cowbred it really just depends on your mares conformation. I have a Dual Pep gdaughter I wouldn't cross on FG or Sunfrost but I have a linebred Sugar bars mare that I would think would cross really well on one. It is hard to say not knowing the mare personally. |

| We have several nice foundation/cowbred mares booked to our Mr Jess Perry son this year. I think they are going to be really nice solid made athletic babies that can run. One mare is a beautiful blue roan Two Id Bartender mare and I am really excited to see that baby next spring. |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | Firewater Ta Fame is awesome and has crossed very well on cowbreds. I have 3 by him - 2 colts & 1 filly. I can't say enough good things about him. They all have great minds and are extremely athletic. |

I'm fairly certain he isn't even breeding this year, because of a surgery. |

Were not collecting anymore this year due to surgery. We do have frozen available to the right mares.

| I got VERY lucky and picked Streaking Ta Fame (before they brought him back into competition) as my stud of choice to cross on my Smart Little Lena x Docs Hickory mare, and am very pleased with the outcome. She'll be 2 this May.

Are you planning to keep or sell? |

| I agree with Firewater Ta Fame. I bred one of my Driftwood mares to Firewater Ta Fame & she is not for sale. She is a beautiful buttermilk buckskin. I am so excited for her future. We are so impressed with her, we are repeating the breeding this year. Already have someone wanting to buy the foal.

Updated allbreedpedigree. They had her papers swapped. Here is the correct version. Tulare bay is her sire.

| I also would like to ad that when looking for a stud, look at both his & her's conformation. You want the two to complement each other. I have a mare who is short & stocky, so my preference for her is a stallion with a little longer body & not with huge bone. Last year when I bred Sandi, this was her first foal. One of the many reasons why I chose Slick By Design for her as I know Slick sires a smaller foal at birth & for a first time mom, I wanted Sandi to have a chance of having a good birthing, which she is. When I bred Kate, my 14 hand Driftwood mare to Stitch, "Firewater Ta Fame" I learned that he also sires a smaller baby at birth which I like. We had one mare who's baby Bob had to help out. That is not fun. I LOVE Stitch's filly "Abbie" that I have now. She is so smart, easy to teach & very personable. She loves her nose kiss's :) This is her last year.
