| Mine are the Wahl Arco clippers. I love love them. Super light, stay charged for a good while and has extra battery/docking station. I have not taken very good care of mine (just throw them in the brush tray in the tack) and they have held up amazing. Had them for 5-6 years now. They are alot cheaper now than what I paid.  |

Location: Tenn. | Wahl clippers are the only thing that I will use. They seem to hold up better than any other brand. I was watching one of Clinton Andersons episode the other day about getting a horse used to clippers and he recommended the Wahl "Bravura" cordless clippers. I believe whenever ours give up I will be purchasing these next.

Location: Ohio | I have been looking up reviews and I'm leaning more towards the Wahl brand. I've had corded Andis clippers in the past and they never held up for me.
I just saw a video that compared the Arco, Chromado and Bravura. I guess the bravura's motor is better for thicker coats compared to the Chromado. All 3 have great reviews... just can't decide if I want the cord/cordless option or an extra backup battery that can be charged by itself. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cJ1lsP6D20U |

Location: mi | I have the Wahl Arco's have had them for a good 5 years now. They work great. No they are not meant to remove winter hair but for the price they have held up well and I don't baby them.

| I have a pair of Wahls. The first clipper I had, I sent in to be repaired and they sent me a new pair at no cost. GREAT customer service!!!

Answered my own question! Valley Vet has a link to a video where these clippers are shown in action. More than powerful enough to do bridlepaths. These are on my to buy list for sure.

Location: TN | The Wahl Bravura clippers look awesome! Looks like I can buy guards/combs for them to give my corgi his summer hair-do in addition to clipping the horses. Plus, they are a good price. I was looking at Oster brand before seeing this thread because we have an Oster plant in town, but the Wahl's sound so great I might have to go with those. |

| My old cordless Wahl's clippers died a year ago so, I went to Sally's Beauty Supply and got new cordless Wahl's clippers there. Some people believe you can't use the human clippers on horses but depends on the blade. Cost $119, cuts BETTER than my old ones did and they're more quiet. I don't body shave with them or anything but, they cut through thick bridle paths, legs, whiskers with EASE. And I clip my horses once every week or two. I just oil after every use and keep them in a bag to protect them. Way cheaper than buying through a horse related outlet. |

Location: Ohio | I think I've chosen to go with the bravura clippers. I like the fact that they have a rotary motor and a lot of the reviews say they don't get bogged down when you hit really coarse/thick places. Plus the lithium batteries don't build up memory and lose charge over time. Thanks for the help everyone. Glad this post helped a few others too. |
