How do you know if one is legitimate/worth the money? I am not wanting to do outside horses, just work on my own... but I want to know that I spent my money wisely.
Can you learn it all in a weekend
(physical class, not just online
) class?

Depends on who you ask. I know a lot who have done the weekend class but I also know a gal who has done a lot of work to do body work and she despises those who take a weekend class and call themselves a massage therapist.

This is what I'm afraid of. I don't want it to call myself a massage therapist, but I also don't want to waste $600 on something that I could have picked up from a book. I just want hands on learning on how to help out my own horses. I have a friend who did an online course
(and I let her work on my horses
) and it was probably much more in-depth than a weekend class, but I'm not sure what that costs and if I would even really benefit from not having hands on experience.

I went to Midwest Natural Healing, it was $900 with a military discount. We had weeks of online study leading up to the four day hands on class and final test. I got certified in equine sports massage as well as rehabilitation therapies. I don't do outside horses. I planned to but never got it started. I just do work on my own, friends and family. I feel like it was worth my time and money.
