Location: depends on the day! | I had an allergy test done on my gelding and he has a very long list of allergies. From food, to pollen, to flies. He headshakes due to the pollen bothering him. I'd like to find a supplement, either herbal, or other to give him to help. I tried giving him Trishist, and it didn't help, but made him very hyper.

Location: NE TX | Where did you have your testing done? I have a friend who has a mare that rubs her mane and tail off every fall around Sept./Oct. and I think she could benefit from it so we could know what to do to help prevent it. |

Location: NE Texas | I'll second what Jenny is using. I missed my own personal blend two days last week....on the third my allergies were in full swing and I thought i'd die. A double dose later, I was back on the mend. My allergies are inexistant now, when I used to be an anti-histamine every day kind of person. Of course, what these products have done for my horse with respiratory/allergy issues are beyond anything I could have ever expected. The pics below are on the Cur-OST products for 30 days after spending thousands at several vets for several months and exceeding all treatment options.

| My vet told me that those allergy tests where they pull blood and send you a list of stuff your horse is allergic to are very inaccurate. Having said that Curost total support absolutely helped my allergy ridden horse tremendously. I had him on it for 6 months. Due to cost I switched to Forefront respiratory and my horse has continued with good health/lung function. Has been on Forefront 60 days now. I can't say if it was the curost FIRST that cleaned it all up and then forefront that is maintaining or what. The Curost sure made my horse cough up all sorts of junk so I am sure all of that helped. That might be an option depending on finances. |

My mare is eating the very things she tested off the charts for. |

True! I guess there are Equine allergy specialists. My vet said if I really wanted to pursue the issue she could send me to one. They do more accurate testing with skin tests I guess. you leave your horse there at the clinic for 3-4 days and they do a battery of specific and more accurate tests. She said the cost would be about $4500. Nooooooooo WAYYYYYYYYYY. LOL So far supplements are managing it well. |

Location: Piedmont, OK | That seems way over priced for testing. I had it done at Oakridge a few years ago for around $450 and then the monthly formulated shots cost about $200 for the year and they help tremendously. I have a mare that is allergic to every bug known to mankind. Who would have ever thought and outdoor animal would be allergic to bugs. |

Before when she was just on her allergy shots, and had 2 bites of alfalfa (which she was allergic to) I could tell. It was painful.
Now on Cur-OST she eats alfafa every day, as well as whole oats, both she was highly allergic to and couldn't even touch, even on the shots. |

| My vet also said the allergy testing for horses is very inaccurate. I have mine on a blend similiar to Curost Total. It just became too expensive, which is why I switched. I have seen a HUGE improvement with it. |
