| I doubt this will effect the next Diamonds and Dirt very much. They announced at this years race that the 2016 D&DBHC will be held at the same place, during the same weekend in 2017. Of couse this was prior to this news but I imagine plans and contracts for the barrel race have been made far in advance.

| Doesnt mean anything, especially not at a personal level for Schiller. This is happening with alot of companies across the scale of the oil field. They are just getting themselves out of "debt" from purchases they made that are not valued nearly as high now, which they can do by decalring. Hedges on oil are just now running out, up until now most were still getting paid at the higher oil prices and are having to re-evaluate. Its insane what you can do to get out of bad deals that you made. |

litterally everyone in the world of finance that wasn't blind.
You seem to have the idea that this price downturn was some sort of surprise? It wasn't, the only surprise was the fact that it happened a couple of months before it was predicted to happen.
Also, just because a fund manager does his job and times the market right does not make him an Eco Wiz nor does it support your wild azz claim that Big oil was running scared from alternative energy.
