I have one. I'm guessing here....the reins are probably 5/8" wide and too short. I ride with split reins mostly and like the 8 footers with the "weighted" ends, the Weaver reins on the martingale are too short to effectively swat the hip. Since my horses understand what that motion means, I get a reaction from them, but I sure want them to be longer. They have a nice feel to them, though. I'll guess that they are 7s. I can measure them when I get home this evening, if you want.

Thank you so much! I had read somewhere that they were 7 1/2 feet long
(which is still to short
) but could not find the width anywhere. If you did happen to measure them I would love to get a conformation on the length.

I have a pair of these, but single rein. The rings are riveted in which make them heavy and really swing back and forth. I prefer a style with the rings sewn in. Just something to think about.
