| Is anyone using the horse pre race version of omeprazole currently? I found some old threads from while back but nothing current. My vet wants me to use a dose day before and day of a race with one of my young ones. I sure like the 8.00 a tube and not 40.00 for ulcer guard. Thanks! I love their pentossn by the way and never had a problem but wanted to check here first. |

Don't buy the multidose tube it's thick and a pain but do get the single dose and treat away the problems. Have you tried starting gate?
If not go to horsewarehouse and order a bucket. |

| I really debated using horse pre race and elected not to. I am using equinerxsolutions.com which is USA made and USA human grade pharmaceutical. It is lab AND endoscopic proven. |

I use this as well and LOVE it! Treated a mare I bought off the track for ulcers and noticed a HUGE improvement. I also use it a day or two prior to, and during weekend runs for my futurity and derby horses. |

Every horse I ride gets dosed with it before a run. After treating them with the high dollar stuff, I started using this as pre-race. Been working for almost a year on them, so I'm sticking with it. A lot easier on the pocket book when you have 3 that get it.

Great to know about the strength! I only use 1/4 tube anyway as preventative so I might just up it to half tube of the HPR version. |

Location: SW MO | I only had one tube of ulcer gaurd and I used it, could tell a big difference, then after HPR I could tell the difference wasnt as big.. I was using the six dose tube though. |

I am using this first time right now. I like the support behind it and it's actually cheaper than pre race horse per dose. |

| I believe everything on their site is Rx only. I read that somewhere on their site. I did use them for surpass cream however. That did require a Rx. I wish they would sell the 4 dose tubes OTC and full tube RX just like ulcer guard. |

Yes, you just need your vets Rx. They can call or fax their approval over to Teri. Once a Rx is on file, its good for 1 year. |

Location: East Texas | I ordered from them and used it on two horses last weekend and had good results. I gave each horse a dose before their runs. I bought the small tubes. |
