It's coming up! What's everyone doing? What are you getting your mother? This is my first mother's day (little girl is 11 months now) and my husband keeps asking me what we should do. Lol like I would know??

I'm taking kiddo to the zoo, since moms get in free on Mother's day.

Not really any plans, per se, but I got my mom a nice gift that I think she'll really like: Samsung Tablet with a screen protector and a case. We may go out and pick up my new horse...because I'll be a new horsey mama again, LOL.

I sent my mother some flowers and some of her favorite lotion. Also wrote her a card and sent her one of my barrel racing pictures. She lives out of town, so she likes stuff like that.

My husband just told me last night that he's taking me to Tombstone to dine at Big Nosed Kates, then, we're heading to a ranch so I can ride this sixteen plus hand paint on a trail used back in the day.   I was so exicited to experience this and then by accident, I found out this big paint horse happens to be for sale.  I think hubby has something up his sleeve, but he won't talk about it.  My birthday is on Friday, and Mother's day is Sunday and I have a gut feeling I'm coming home with the best Tombstone souvenier a girl could ask for.  *crossing fingers *

Maybe go to the woods and hunt for Morel mushrooms.  No horse to ride at the moment or I'd be doing that instead!

My mom loves handmade things, and is a gardener, so I'm going to take a terra cotta pot and paint it with butterflies using my DDs feet as the butterfly, if that makes sense? And of course fill the pot with flowers. :) My mil...oh. Crap I still have no idea. My DH is completely not helpful in that dept either. Ugh.

As for me....I either asked for a prenatal massage or various little odds and ends for my horse, or subscriptions to a few magazines that have expired (BHN and The Horse.)

To the person who said that they just wanted sleep....ditto!

Lost my mom in 1989 so Mother's Day pretty much is a nothing for me - ALTHOUGH, I have great step-kids and they usually make me feel pretty special!

Its our first Mother's Day without mom. We used to take mom to craft fairs for Mother's Day after everyone came out to have a big breakfast at the house so this year my sister's and I are headed to a Vintage Craft Fair. I'm thinking I may have to have a drink to get me thru it, please everyone give your momma's an extra special hug this year.
