Location: Nebraska | what are some studs that seem to produce good minded, user friendly babies out of hotter mares. Would also like the stud to have wonderful conformation, decent resale value, and to be proven or have proven babies. Thanks! |

Location: In the saddle enjoying the East Texas sky | Had lots of success with Perks Alive out of hot blooded, mean Doc Bar mares. Seven geldings and two mares by Bat, and they are all friendly and very easy going. I have heard good things about Famous Bugs horses being really user friendly, but I don't have any personal experience with them. |

Location: God's country...aka TEXAS | Firewater Ta Fame fits your wish list perfectly! He has the best disposition, looks, mind, very athletic, proven, great producer. I have 3 babies by him all out of different mares. They all have his wonderful disposition no matter how hot the mare was etc. They are pretty much born broke. Show them something 1 time and they got it. Super easy to train. People ask me why I don't mix it up and breed to other studs, but for me he is the perfect fit. I like them to be easy to train and deal with but still have that competitive edge. |

| There's a stud by the name of fishin Tony standing in Missouri. They say he quiets down most hot mares |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | I have been around 2 personally that were crossed on hot race mares. Firewater Finale, own a 3yr old we raised by him and he is a very smart easy going colt. Then I have spent a lot of time around offspring by Guys Piece ofthe Pie. He is out of a AAA Pie In The Sky daughter, but his babies are very sensible and easy to be around too. |

That's a good pick. The Dash For Perks horses are good looking, correct, fast, athletic and good minded. Perks Alive is siring good ones, he's in the incentives, his owner is really good to work with, and you won't even get a sorrel colt. Hard to beat. I'd breed to him if I didn't have my own DFP son.
My other thought would be a FWF son.
It's no small trick to make a horse that is user friendly and a high end athlete.

| Firewater Ta Fame all the way, I have two and one in the oven. Plus, Shelly Martin is one of the best owners to do business with. |

| Fire Water Ta Fame, Slick By Design & PC Frenchmans Hayday. But keep in mind, the mare has a lot to do with temperament & so does the owner of how they raise the baby.

Location: Bandera, TX | Glad I'm answering right behind Molli as I picked her brain about this the other day. I love my hot race horses however, I still enjoy breaking my own. I rode my Firewater Ta Fame colt on his 25th ride thru my back pasture with my stock dog. We were headed into the cedars when all of a sudden my dog comes out herding about 35 head of axis does and fawns. To say I was impressed is an understatement of how Joe Cool handled this situation. My dog thought my whistle command was to bring them to me when I had meant to have her lie down. I had deer running to and fro. Nearly bouncing off this cool minded colt. I pray Stitch heals and gives many others the opprotunity to own such nice trainable horses. My Judge Cash seems to be good minded but I've only nicked his start. |

| Love Frenchmans fabulous, I have a PC Frenchmans hayday, they say they can be kickers and buckers but mine is good. But not super friendly.
Love fwotr, mine can be ansy to ride. But is calm about running barrels.
Firewater jets have great minds but I don't know if he breeds any outside mares, he is in SD.
IrishPay is a nice stud, I plan to breed my thoroughbred dtr to him sometime.
I've also heard good things about Frenchmans easy doc. |

| I agree that the mare makes a BIG difference! I have 3 out of the same mare and different studs. The Dinero baby is aggravating but can be sweet when he wants to be, the Firewater Ta Fame is like a puppy dog and will play with a jolly ball for hours-I really think I could teach him to fetch if I tried, the A Smooth Guy is in between the two.
My other Firewater Ta Fame is out of a different mare but is dog gentle as well and has a huge personality. |

Location: California | I'm in love with the amazing disposition of Perks Firewater Flit and his get! I've also never seen one for sale for very long that is of riding age! His foals sell pretty quick from what I've seen as well. His owners are also awesome people! One day I will either breed my mare to him or buy one of his foals. |

Location: Kansas | he's not a running bred stallion, but Smart Royal Rey puts a good head on his babies. I have a filly by him and she's smart as a whip, athletic, and VERY VERY easy to handle. She sliced her nose down to the bone, and she's been an absolute dream with the doctoring. Plus she's a big girl for a yearling with a booty to die for! |

| Really like the temperament on my Streaking Ta Fame 2 yr old.
Also have a 4 yr old by Cajun Perks On Fire, and from what I've seen, 99% of his babies have this level headed easiness about them. |
