Location: Missouri | Those of you who have gone or who are planning on a trip to Las Vegas during the NFR, how far in advance did you start planning? Hotels, flights, buying the actual tickets, all that?
I'm asking this question totally prematurely as we won't be able to go til 2018, so just curious. |

Location: In The Snow, AZ | I'm no help... My husband typically orders tickets and surprises me the day before we have to leave...love that man, but it sure is a scramble trying to find someone to feed 4 dogs, three horses, two cats and all the chickens at the last second.?? |

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | We have planned last minute several times as well. Lots of fun, but WAY more money!! Flights, hotels, etc. of course will be cheaper the earlier you book them! I have friends that schedule trips as early as the spring! |

Location: In the Hills of Texas | kidlover - 2016-05-14 10:40 AM I have 2 wonderful plaza tickets in section 119, 5 rows up if anyone wants to buy early. We had to pay for all 10 performances in February. They are not cheap, but if you want to really enjoy the rodeo one night, they are
an awesome view. Available for the 6th or 7th or 8th perf.
If these had been available earlier in the week I would have been all over them..darn it.. |

Location: Oklahoma & Texas | We start planning around june/July soon as the airline posts flights ..they're usually cheapest then...hotels go up a lot last minute but usually you can get good deals even a month out...tickets for the rodeo are for sale right up to the day...there's not a bad seat in that stadium its small.. if you don't get tickets every night best place to watch it is at the south point casino...they have a free tailgate party every night with free food and cheap beer cool door prizes...cool set up and the buckle ceremony is there after the rodeo every night. |

Location: Missouri | Thanks for your replies! This is good to know. We're wanting to do a just is vacation late next year after our 2nd baby is over a year old. It's between NFR in Dec and or East Coast in the fall for some historical sightseeing (we're history nerds, yes ) |

Location: MN | We planned our trip months before. That in itself was an escruciating wait! haha. We got pretty cheap tickets for 2 people, $500 total round trip. Make sure wherever you plan on staying, you ask if they have a NFR package deal!! We stayed at Treasure Island, which was great, and the NFR package was a great. Shuttles to and from all of the expo's was awesome as well! We stayed 5 nights but we didnt think $800 was that bad at all for that long and our room was really nice over looking the strip! Plus we got some awesome coupons for all of the restaurants there and outside on the strip as well. I loved it. I have a lot of friends who wait to buy tickets for the rounds until they get out there, because they do have good deals, but I wanted to make sure my seat was in the Thomas & Mack before I got there, so I bought tickets ahead of time. Thats just me! |

Hehe. You sound like me. I have to be prepared ahead of time or I'll stress big time. So I'd likely buy tickets months in advance too. Thanks for the tip on asking about NFR packages! We have a time share thru Westgate Resorts, so we'd likely be staying there. It's 3 miles away from from the T&M...not sure if they'd have shuttles that far?? If we had a rental car, how much of a PITA will it be to drive ourselves, parking and all that, anyone know? Lol! |

Location: Wearing a winter coat...... | We buy our tickets in July-August. We go for 3-4 days and it is usually around 350 per person. We stayed at NY-NY last year and loved it! Rent a car- it is cheaper and free to park at every place except the shopping but the way I shop- I needed a car, lol. Best trip ever and we love making it our mini vacation every year! |
