So, I am looking at a colt out of Bigtime Favorite and a Mr Jess Perry mare...

Any quirks of either bloodline I should know about??

I've only heard good things about Bigtime Favorite but not much. I'll be watching this thread because I've been wanting a Bigtime Favorite colt for a while now but they've always slipped through my fingers.

Someone was just talking about a DTF out of a MR. JESS PERRY mare on another post about seasoning certain breeds.

" Seasoning" certain bloodlines..... is the name of the post

I don't know as much specifically about those two lines together. All I would say is with that much powerful running blood you would want to be wanting to make sure you had good rate instilled in the horse. Every individual is different but I have heard some say the Mr Jess Perrys are sometimes too fast for barrels, tend to blow by them. The same power and run that serves them well in the track takes their minds over in the pattern and they may be less likely to slow down to turn. This is just what I have heard. I occasionally hear the same about Corona Cartels. Take that for what its worth, i.e. second hand 'I have heard.' I know a lot of people breeding prefer those lines a generation back or so for that reason. I am sure some other people with more direct experience could say more.
