A friend gave me a 30 Day supply for my ulcer prone boy who isn't doing so swell.
Curious who has fed this and what the results were. We are 8 days in.
Here is a link to the website in case you haven't heard of it. I never had...
http://horse.watchthemthrive.com/lifeline-equine-elite/
There is a product label posted on their site and links to studies supporting the ingredients. Any info would be great.
I would like to ad:
My boy has a very balanced diet
(Shout out to winwillows for helping with exact pounds to feed.
) but I was curious of this "All in one" supplement. So I tried it. Like I said any info on the product would be great!

I have not used this product, but I've used a lot of other ones with no results except Omeprazole. I'm currently used Excel by Depaolo Equine and I'm more than thrilled about the results. I have 4 horses on it and I've see positive results with all of them.

I don't see anything that would aid in the healing or prevention of ulcers. The active ingredient seems to come from a derivative of cow blood serum. The claim seems to be highly available proteins and some level of immunoglobulin. but I can't find what levels of each the company is claiming to provide. I am not saying that this is a bad product. There may be significant value in it. There is just not enough information provided by the label or web site to make a clear assessment.
I did a lot of work with a company that refined bovine colostrum to very concentrated levels. The testing was very promising, even on AIDs in Africa. That however was not derived from cow blood. I would also be interested to hear from people that have used this product and what they specifically used it for.

Thanks winwillows!
Curious if it's worked for anyone. And what exactly it worked for. The friend who gifted me with the 30day supply of Lifeline claimed it was for managing Ulcers.
I'm with you, I was confused on the labeling and why she thought it would be good for him. I can kind of see where hse got the idea from but I had never heard if it before.
This is why I made a thread.

I was told by a rep for Lifeline that it has the ability to reduce overall inflammation wherever it maybe. They said they have had good results with horses with breathing problems. I used it for about 60 days and liked the product.

Thank you for the review brittracer. I am using the supplement for the 30 days since it was free. I haven't noticed any change yet but we will see.
This supplement is about $90 a month. I can't imagine paying that and getting no results. Maybe I'm wanting it to do something it's just not designed to do? And maybe I'm wanting it to be a magic fix for him. I know time off and continuing the feeding schedule I have him on will eventually work. I just want it to work faster lol.
