She is good at roll backs but I should definatly try slowing them down like you said.. focusing on picking her shoulders up. That would be good for her! |

| Counter arcs. So many counter arcs. It teaches them when to be on their shoulders and when not to. Half passing also works great 'cause it shows them that they can move without leading with their front end. |

This^ Rollbacks makes my one horse want to get doggy and dump on her front but counter arcs really help. I try to lope her collected nose tipped shoulder up and its help so now I can lope her on a loose rein and she'll slow up with her shoulder up. |

My mare is terrible at long trotting. I can try my hardest and I just can't get her to really stretch out. Any suggestions on aiding them into a nice flowing long trot? Saddle fits, she is checked by a chiro monthly and adjusted as needed, nothing should be physically causing her not to be able to. I just don't think she ever did a long trot under saddle before I got her. She has a really pretty long trot when I free lunge her in the arena, so I know she has it in her. |

Push up and out with your pelvis and really drive her up underneath of you. |

Gonna give that a shot. I'm sure I am hindering her somehow from doing it properly, hoping I can get it figured out. |

It's really hard to explain, but you'll definitely know when you have it. |
