| Had a BAL done on my gelding, still awaiting lab results..however there was mucus in the esophagus. Vet is leaning it's allergies. Is there anything that works besides having to go with drugs like Dex or some steroid? Anybody have results first hand with either Equipulmin, Mo Lung, or AirPower by Finish Line? I would love to clear this up without doing a needle every day.
Then, does anyone use HayGain Haysteamer? Pricey I see, but curious if anyone out here uses these and how you like them.

Location: NC | I take care of a pony for someone and the pony has really bad allergies. Beg of summer/late spring could barely take a breathe type of allergies. They had the vet out and shes on some medication (not sure of what sorry) and they bought her a hay steamer. It seems to be working very well. She doesnt cough and shes breathing a ton better. It was pricey, i believe, but it seems to be helping a ton. They weigh and bag her hay, so they do one load every morning and then do the 2nd after. Supposedly you can leave the steamed hay up to 24hrs and still be good to feed. Shes not a picky mare but shes gobbling it up. Oh and it does come out of the steamer very hot. they wait a little to let it cool down. |

When it comes to Cur-OST and some other herbs they are targeting the inflammation that causes the issues you are seeing. So reducing inflammation is going to keep mucus from forming and in turn help your horse breathe easier. With Cur-OST you are working right at the source of the problem. My mare with COPD improved drastically on Cur-OST. It helps so much more than their respritory health. You will notice improvement in their general well being, attitude, skin & coat, hoof health and so much more. Dr. Schell is great to talk to and he can help point out issues that you may have never even thought was contributing. --> https://secondvet.com/index.php/kunena/index |

| I love the CurOst but the program I needed was $15/day in herbs.
I went to muscle matrix and Equipulmin and have LOVED the results! |

| I LOOOVVVEEE My Haygain! I'm surrounded by orchards and my mare just would not stop coughing. She was not sick, but her cough would not go away no matter what I tried. The Haygain has been the only relief! Plus she loves it! Personally I do to, it smells sweeter, they eat EVERY BIT, and NO COUGH! My horses now prefer the steamed hay to the non steamed. Best investment I've made! No drugs going into her system everyday to keep a cough away, just 100% dust, bacteria, mold free healthy steamed hay!

Location: almost heaven | I have seen he most results from having the allergies testing. My vet did the dermal test and then had the immuno therapy shots formulated for his top allergies. Also helped identify what he was allergic to with pine and some grain mill mixes being the top 2 I would have never guessed his shavings so glad that I was able to know and eliminate it.
Once I made some changes he started clocking a half a second faster and was losing me in his turns. |

| horsepower herbs "Mucoous Proof" is the best for us. mucous proof aids in cleansing lungs clogged by mucous due to infection, allergies, debris. Helps dissolve and expel mucous from the chest cavity leaving the lungs clear tones and free of mucous. cost $98 but works. |
