Location: Cocoa, Florida | Seems like there's huge scams going on in a lot of the random draw tack group pages on Facebook so buyers beware! I never trusted those things in the first place, glad I didn't waste my money!
Hope no one on here got scammed |

Apparently a girl created like 12 fake facebook pages, and buddied up to one of the Admin's of the facebook group. They were in it together. Basically this individual would "buy" spots using her account and various fake accounts, then this admin would "draw" pretty much multiple times to get the individuals draw number on either accounts so they could win. She's walked off with over $1,000 worth of items they are stating.
Plus her family is involved as well. |

People are so crappy. I can see how it would be so easy to scam people this way, I wouldn't participate unless I personally knew them and knew it was legit. |

Location: North Dakota | I saw this post on FB about the scams. I have won several times in the original Random Draw Tack site but haven't bought a spot on an item in many months. So I don't know if things are still legit in that group or not but it is crazy how the screen shots these girls who are cheating just talk about it like it's nothing. |

A girl created multiple facebook pages and entered in Random tack draws. THe admin "drew" one of her many names on facebook and they both made off like bandits with thte money? So there was never any tack up for draw?
Am I understanding this? Does anyone have a link to the facebook page?

I'll try to get the link for you. So they were both the admins in the group "random draw tack and supplements" I think it is called, and the only admins of that group. The one is a dealer for DAC products and they would put up items for draw and make fake accounts that supposedly "bought" spots in the draw and they would have everyone pay and then the other admin would "draw" the name of the fake account, somehow making it work and so that girl who posted the item for "draw" would make all that money but never have to send the item. They also did this to other people's draws without the person with item knowning. They would just ship it to who they thought was the legit winner when it was actually the admins rigging them so they won all the time and using fake names to win. They made off with saddles, saddle pads, BOT, and tons more. I would say much more than $1000 worth. This is how I understand it anyways. |

Basically......two girls, one was admin who actually participated in drawing names, and the other was a girl who would buy spots with her account and all of her little fake accounts. Then this admin, would draw multiple times until she would get that specific draw number for that girl, or one of her fake accounts to win. She would record videos of all of these draws, if it was the wrong number she would delete the video and rerecord until the gals number would pop up.
So she would basically make off with a bunch of tack, saddles, yeti cooler, $500 gift certificate, bell boots, bags etc.
Now then......she would post DAC items for draw, and she would have them filled and would even include some of her fake accounts and say they "PAID".....then this same admin would draw the fake accounts. Boom girl wins. She gets to pocket the money, and doesn't need to mail off any of the product. Apparently multiple people contacted DAC, and boy is the company LIVID. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Thanks Hoofs and Midwest. Clears a lot of things up. I am sure the company IS livid. People will associate DAC with scams. Sad stuff.....
ETA I found a lot of random draw pages on facebook with that name. Biggest group I found was one with 9,000+, but there is only one admin.
Has anyone posted about it in the barrel racing tack swap page on facebook?

| How did people find out about this? I am not surprised, but just wondering if there was any actual proof this was going on.

| Besides being a scam, I believe that random draws are actually illegal in most states. People call it "random draw" thinking that gets around the "raffle" drawing restrictions. I think there was a thread/discussion about that just a month or so ago. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | Two admins of the group. One admin got mad. Threw the other under the bus and released screenshots of the conversation between the two about scamming people to the world. Many others were in on it. Including familiy of one of the admins. Multiple screenshots with multiple aliases were released and the admin who squealed deleted her facebook. The other admin has admitted to doing wrong, trying to throw the admin who squealed under the bus but it isn't working for her. Anyway, the admin who got thrown under the bus claims she will make it right but I don't see how she can. Even after she gives all the products back she still needs to return the money she collected from her aliases posts and raffles on products she posted. Its all a really messed up deal. |

| And this is EXACTLY why raffles and games of chance are illegal in just about every state unless you are a non profit or meet the requirements for licensing. I'm sorry but if someone is stupid enough to participate and trust these complete strangers doing these "raffles", then I don't feel sorry for you when it turns out these things are scams. |

Holy....crap.....is it just me or did they go through a lot of freaking trouble to screw people over? Good grief.
You know, I'd thought about buying a spot on a few times and then added up how much I was going end up wasting pretty much gambling. Glad I didn't now. |
