Location: Dubach, LA | Get there early(be sitting in line by 6am) if you need a hookup. Throw your trailer in a spot and haul butt to check your horse in before that line gets ridiculous. Amonia buildup in big barn was extreme. Take fans for your horse and take him out several times daily. You can't walk between the barns and the rv park, so you'll need to unhook or rent a golfcart or something. I came with one horse from Louisiana. I think I spent about 1000. |

Location: chasing kids and animals | wow 1000.00 isn't as bad as what I was thinking. How much are EF and stalls? So they rent golf carts b/c we will be in MH so there iwll be no unhooking to run back and forth to barn area |

Location: Dubach, LA | I don't remember exact costs on EF (been 3 years), but the carts were 200 to rent. Oh, be sure to rent an extra stall for tack. You do not want to lug it all around with you in your golf cart. |

Location: SW New Mexico | Wow... sounds like they'll make us park in the back 40, and it's too far to lead a horse to the trailer to saddle.
I appreciate the advance warnings! LOL...
I am OCD on knowing exactly what to expect..
So, I'll need a scooter / golf cart, and a tack stall..or transportation back and forth. I plan on staying in my trailer. Is the hookups closer, or ??
....
I have a fine generator.
Is there security?
(duh) dumb question, I know..

| Why stall your horses in those barns (on the grounds) when there are so many nicer options close by. It's cheaper too and they don't stand on concrete. |

I don't think the stalls have ceilings/tops, so couldn't somebody climb right over and help themselves? |

What/where are these options? |

Location: Oklahoma | I'd allocate at least a thousand dollars to go. By the time you pay entry, RV, stall, shavings, etc., etc., it counts up in a hurry. IMO, it's an experience that everyone needs to have, but too much money and time for me. |

not allowed, although some people park in the back forty and sneak them up. |

Im wondering too!
I went last year. If I remember correctly, I think EF are $250 per horse?? if you just do the one race (2 qualifying rounds for finals) I also entered the insurance race, so it was extra. I think I spent around $1000 not counting food lol and I didn't rent a golf cart, or stay in the rv park. I parked in the back forty with the generator running the whole time. Yes, I agree a golf cart is very handy, I didn't have one and almost went crazy. My husband told me were not going back unless we have a golf cart. but you have to rent them ahead of time or there may not be any available. :)
Very nice experience though! Im exited to go back next year! |

| I spent about $1000, with 1/2 diesel from Louisiana, 1/2 RV, stall, rented stall mats, 1/2 golf cart $2??.00, entry fees that included insurance race. included my meals. It was great, the stalls are a lil ways from RV I wouldn't go again without golf cart. When you arrive they have helpers on golf carts and help you unload, it took about 15 minutes for us to unload everything with their help which included all tack hay and feed for the extra stall that I recommend. Circle H farms is a great location to stay off grounds. |

Location: run2win land | Basic entry fee was $250. Stalls $85. A major cost is some kind of cushioning. You go through alot of shavings. I was advised to bring bedding pellets for base and then add a layer of shavings on top. It made a huge difference in smell and comfort for my horse. RV spots were sold out by 2am on Wednesday. Extra classes add to cost. Arena time is very inexpensive at $5. Fuel/feed will depend on where you come from. Then add for any pictures, videos, jackets and awesome shopping. It adds up in a hurry. I loved it so much I've traveled out from CA twice for this show. |

Location: Dubach, LA | PM Sport565 about staying off grounds. She knows people. LOL. Also, take your food and stay away from concessions. It's highway robbery. Yes. Stalls are topless so it's a chance you take with renting a tack stall. |

 Don't Wanna Make This Awkward

Location: Texas | I went 3 years and never felt I needed a golf cart. Thst's an extra luxury for sure as well as a tack stall, that just sounds like a waste of money and a lazy option unless you have a condition that doesn't allow you to walk. The walking really isn't that bad. If you were hauling more than 2 horses I could see a need for golf cart, but one horse isn't a big deal. |
