| What studs would be good crosses on cutting bred mares for barrel horse prospects. |

| It depends on the mare. I have a really nice cutting/reining bred mare, but she is big and heavy. Some cutters are tiny and fine. Lets see a pedigree and pic! |

| We bred a daughter of Dual Rey to A Dash Ta Streak last year. He is a young sire and doesn't have a produce record yet but I was impressed with his confirmation and liked that he had ASOF and DTF bloodlines. This mare is super quick and catty, but is a little fine boned and only about 13.3 so I wanted to breed her to a bigger stallion (we did ET). I tried to breed a little more run into the foal, as this mare can turn on a dime. We also bred that mare to a cutting stud and you can definitely tell the different in the 2 fillys lol.

| I have a cutting bred mare, and a foundation mare. Both are small. Just kicking around the idea of breeding in the future..

I like him! Def need some size on the mares I have if I chose to breed. |

I bred a cutting mare to Streaking Ta Fame as well. The filly is 2 this year and is going to be started next month. She won't be big, but DEFINITELY much bigger than her mother.

| I kinda like Cowboys Cartel - 3/4 brother to Ivory James and PYC Paint Your Wagon but without the 4,000 or 15,000 dollar stud fee
Streakin Ta Fame, ASOF/A Dash ta Streak, Shawne Bug Leo all would be nice crosses AND they would have a good resell value. There are so many studs just find a bloodline you really like and narrow it down from there. Good Luck!! |

| A cutting horse stud ... their conformation and lack of speed is not a good mix to have a winning barrelhorse ... |

Location: Cocoa, Florida | Most of the duel pep cutting horses around here are 1/2D all day, and the ones I've seen are very thick boned and big horses, guess it depends but a trainer over here runs a bunch of them and wins all the time. |
