Location: SoCal | What active ingredients do you prefer? MSM, Glucosamine, HA? Do you look for a certain amount of mg?
Do you find any supplements beneficial for horses with no known problems, that would be used just as a preventative, or do you have one that works best for your arthritic horses?
I have one horse with no known issues, and one horse with arthritis in her hocks that I'll be bringing back riding again, so looking at what people see the best results with. |

| I really really only believe in Injectables BUT I won a 5lb tub of actiflex 4000 and honestly, I DO SEE a very positive difference in one of my horses especially who had issues. We could never really pin point it, but he has been on it 60 days now and is back to his normal self, so I will still give him his adequan and poly but actiflex is only 44.00 for a 5 lb and at 1oz daily, very affordable and will continue to use it.

I have fed actiflex to my gelding for probably 10 years now with excellent results! It's the only joint supplement I use and it's the best bang you can get for your buck! I feed the liquid.
I do feed msm to a couple other horses for a cheaper option. |

| The latest research is showing that the feed through joint suppliments are beneficial if your horse doesnt have any chronic conditions.
I start my colts on feed through suppliments, so far it is working, I haven't had anything pop up.
I like lubrysin, but am currently trying one that contains glucosamine, HA (powdered form) and hydrolized collagen to see if I can still see the visible results in their legs compared to lubrysin. |
