Who Wants to Trade?

I have an older mare that I'm going to breed next year. I might flush an embryo, I'm not sure yet.

She's a multiple stakes producing daughter of Streakin Six out of a Dash for Cash mare.

I've seen several of her foals and my favorite is by a son of FDD. I don't like line breeding Streakin Six but might if it made sense in every other way.

Who do I breed her to in 2017? I want proven since she is older and this could be my last baby out of her. I want to stay under $5,000 and don't want to rely on frozen semen.Β

She's been bred to him before and it wasn't my favorite cross. Nice horse, just not enough to make me take her back to him.Β

Β She's 22 and very good shape. She's our oldest mare right now.

I think a neat cross on her would be Sweet First Down - especially since one of your fav crosses on her was an FDD son.

Sweet Lena Jet won a ton with Tiany Schuster and he is by SFD and out of a Streakin Six daughter that is out of a DFC daughter.

If you want to try the FDD route again...

The FDD son I'd love to try is Wave Carver.  But I don't know if he's had anything that's done much in the barrel pen?  I also like Tac It Like A Man.

For proven, maybe Stoli or Okey Dokey Dale?

I was going to say Apollitical Jess, but he's 9800 and booked full.

Are you wanting a barrel horse out of the deal or race? If you are going for race, I really like tac it like a man also! I have always loved all their horses. They also have a nice Corona Cartel son. Im not sure what stud fees on either are though.

I kind of wanted just thoughts. I don't know what I'm doing with her just yet. Her yearling could go the track or arena.

I have a DMNV Mountable mare that I absolutely love. She ran on the track and now I'm seasoning her on barrels and she's amazing. I have no idea why more people don't breed to him. I would if I had a broodmare.

A little inside info from a some people I know who have messed with A LOT of Apollitical Jess's foals. They are difficult. They are fast, but hard to mess with.

She's Sorrel so we'd getting red regardless. However, since I want a filly I'd get a colt.Β
