Please weigh in on WHY you like them. What you use for daily riding vs. a show and how many head you ride a day with your "at home" combos.

Never tight cinch, with latigo on both sides.   I use it at home and competing.  Love it because it works, stays loose on the sides, snug underneath, saddle never moves.  No more getting on and off several times tightening before a run because horse bloats, no more over tightening cinch.

Wool fleece cinch, because it is what my horse likes and leather billets because I had several good horseman tell me that it had more give than nylon and so was more comfortable to the horse.

I like a mohair or alpaca 28 strand cinch with leather onside billets and leather half breed off billet.

I don't feel like I have to tighten my cinch as tight with the wider cinch, plus it distributes the pull across a wider area. The billets are just personal preference. I ride with both nylon and leather and just prefer the way the leather pulls down.

This is also what I use. ^^^^

Nylon with mohair cinch or leather with neoprene/fleece/any non-stretch cinch.

 Ditto.

I currently use a 5 Star mohair with nylon off billets/Latigo.

after using mohair for well over 50 years, some being custom made, I have switched to Toklat fleece cinches. My horse says "ahhhhhhh" when I cinch him up now instead of leaning on the lead rope.

Same. Same reasons. I use a latigo and a half breed from Buckaroo Leather. I have a Never Tight and two Near Tight's. I like the Never Tight best but the Near Tights are good too (I bought a used one off of a friend and then another one too). I'm somewhat of a Len Brown junkie, I love his pads too and that is all I will use. I really would like to try one of his new Grip saddles.

leather latigo. I want it to "give." I've always been taught you don't want to use a girth and latigo's that are both free of stretch. one of them needs to stretch. So mohair/nylon combo is ok.. But... just what I've been taught :)
I use cow horse supply girth. BEST GIRTH IVE EVER USED. and ive tried A LOT.
I don't have to tighten my saddle down as hard, my saddle stays in place.
they are easy to clean, and VERY high quality made.
they do not rub sores. Just really nice. and the guy who makes them is a prince to deal with.

What is the difference between the near tight and the never tight?  I really want to try one of these.

The Never is more rigid and better for a saddle that rolls a lot (really round horses). You can pretty much put your whole handle between the upper part of the cinch and the horse. The Near is more flexible and does a great job on horses w/ more withers or a less severe saddle rolling problem. It is more snug to the horse than the Never but not anywhere as tight as a regular mohair or neoprene cinch. I'm hooked. I've rode a lot of different horses in them and they always keep the saddle exactly where it should be.

I love the Shoulder Relief Cinches from Total Saddle Fit. It really does keep the saddle back off your horse's shoulders. I had a problem with saddles sliding forward on my horse, but not any more! I just sold my old one but will be getting a new one that matches my saddle and has fleece rather than neoprene (which was the only option when I bought it). Don't really have a preference between leather or nylon latigos/off billets, but typically use leather.

I use various types of mohair or alpaca cinches and use both leather and nylon. I ride double js so they come with nylon tie straps on both sides. I like to cinch it up like normal in the front ring. I left these on my colts saddle but they were too short for my other two horses so my other saddle has leather. I like the leather Latigo much better, but the nylon does slip better when it's hot! I like using mohair because they aren't bulky and they have stretch. To me they seem more comfortable than neoprene or felt.
