Maybe a little bit bigger of a pocket going in? He looks big and maybe he needs a little more room to fanangle his body around there in a smooth way. I'm not sure, just a suggestion!

I had this issue. I was starting the turn a touch early. It looks like this may be happening in your run as well.Try pushing him a jump farther. Also to get a better turn during practice I would trot around that barrel twice so that my horse didnt anticipate coming out of the turn too soon and blowing off a little.

tough angle to see but you have to much pocket.
He's trying to turn like you are asking him to but also trying not to turn on top of the barrel.

I think your pocket size if fine, just go straighter longer - maybe another stride or two.

I agree that you are starting your turn too soon. I'd hold him straighter for longer. He's still 1/2 a stride from the barrel. I'd hold him straight until his shoulder was at the barrel.
