I'm at my wits end with all these cats around here using the vegetable garden and my planters as their litter box! I saw a few sprays and powders at the hardware store but they were really high priced for a little bottle. Was wondering if there was a homemade concoction to deter them.

I heard to use used coffee grounds. I may try that. Those fancy sprays and powders were pepper based.. maybe try cayenne pepper or chili powder or black pepper.

We sprinkled Moth Balls all around the garden and in the flower beds....

Something to think about tho: We got them out of the flower bed, then they started using the gravel walkways and drive... I ruined so many pairs of shoes....

Saw somewhere that Irish Spring soap cut up and placed around perimeters is a deterent to wildlife....don't know if it would work for cats.

I've got 2 big dogs but they grew up with cats so they are pretty much worthless in that department. I've got some sulphur I may try that

I don't allow cats at my place. They are intermediate hosts of EPM.
