| Does anyone know anything about him beside he's a 1981 stallion by Dry Doc? I know his pedigree that's it or at least his later years.I'm just curious because I can't find the the owners (when he died) or any of his sons owners. My family used to stand him then sold him when my grandfather died. I'm looking to track down a producing son of his or a couple of his daughters. Any info would be appreciated. Thank you!! |

Unfortunately a gelding.
He's a great little horse. He heads,heels works in the pasture.
Lots of speed and powerful.
Real cowy and a pleasure to ride.
Would have made a great tie-down horse. |

Oh that's cool! I was little when he was around so I don't remember him and my grandpa sold out quite a few years ago so I've only heard about them thru the family! |

| If you go on my website ebloodlines.com and go to the pedigree section and enter Dry Doc and then press descendants, you will see how much he has contributed to the leading timed event horses.
he is quite influential as is his full brother Doc O Lena.
Sand Hill Dry was, in his later years anyway, here in Ontario Canada. |

Location: London Ontario | I have a son of him!!! He is one of my favorite horses we own/have owned. He can sometimes be a dink(randomly spooks, can be a little hard to catch randomly). He is a finished barrel and pole horse, an awesome heading horse and break away. This horse is broke broke broke and will do anything you ask of him. He is however a horse that will take advantage if you let him. He can be hot going into the pen(not the box though) but smartens up real fast if you tell him too. He's not very big but built like a tank and will drag just about any steer you as him to. As long as you point and kick and leave him alone he will clock both on the barrels and poles. The only thing I will say is he had tender feet - even with shoes on he can be funny on hard ground/gravel. I don't know if there is an underlying issue but we just maintain him and keep shoes on him and make sure he is on soft ground where ever we go.
I would have about 35 more of him if I could. Just a gelding though! |
