| I just saw that the Diamonds and Dirt has been moved to Waco. I personally love the Bryan/College Station area so I am a little sad I wont be going there next year but am looking forward to seeing what Waco is all about.

Location: west of East Texas | I love Waco and we go to several shows there. But... I like Bryan and go to several shows there also. I'm kind of sad it moved to Waco. I live closer to Bryan and went several days just to see the show besides going to ride. I won't be able to do that now. |

I have grown to love the drive to Bryan. I always stop at Bucee's in Madisonville. I have figured out the facility pretty well. I am worried it will just not feel the same at another venue. I wonder why they moved it and if Schiller Ranch is still the main sponsor.. |

Location: The edge of no where | I've haven't ever run at Bryan, but I've also not heard anything positive about the ground there. Waco - lots of great events use the facility. The ground is good. |

Fragments of that can be seen on the diamonds and dirt website. Scroll to the bottom of the home page. There are also several promo videos on their FB page.

This one used to be on the site as well but can be found on youtube, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sxr0yzpWS0A

No, they aren't. The Schiller's sold out for the most part I think. |

Location: CTX | The announcement was made by Schiller ranch,so they seem to be still involved. According to this article it has to do with growth. I have no idea how big or small the complex is in Bryan/ College Station since I've only been there once many moons ago. But Waco is a really nice place to run. And plenty big. So I for one am very excited about this move. http://barrelracernews.com/2016/10/05/diamonds-dirt-barrel-horse-classic-relocates-to-waco-texas-for-2017/ |

| I think Waco will draw more people as it is more centrally located. I am glad they moved , the ground is hard to get right in the front pen at Bryan. |

Now that you mention it I remeber that Dufur QH was on the barrels this past year rather than Schiller. |

| I am so glad it moved to Waco. The facilities are nice at Bryan but the ground there is awful and will not stay consistent throughout a big race. It has been frustrating to see the outcome of such a big $ race determined by which horse fell or which ones stood up. I don't understand anyone/or group spending so much $$$ to build such a nice place but not spend a little more to put good dirt in it. People have tried hard to make it good, it just isn't. |

Whats the deal with Schiller? They balled hard at first and now Latricia is with DM and nothing is being said about their ranch or anything anymore. Just curious if they are completely selling out and if so I wonder about leader? |

Not bashing in any way, but her husbands oil company has filed for bankruptcy so I imagine alot of the play money has disappeared. It is a shame because people like them are really good for the industry, not because of her money---just the spark and excitement she created. |

I didn't mean this as a gossip starting thing. It is sad because they had vision and drive to promote our industry. |

They def went above and beyond to create a premier event. The branding and marketing was outstanding. It just had this prestigous energy. |

| Re-Read the press release was sent out BY the Schiller Ranch so that would be obviousl to me they are still the sponsors. They never sold out or they would not be sending out the press release. I will never understand why some people thrive on starting rumors when its written in black and white. I had to call about my slot payment and Schiller choose Waco because it has a true indoor facility and they have twice the size of the facility (two arenas) and twice the stalls. Also Bryan arena is starting construction later this month for a year. I will never understand why people thrive on mean gossip wen the truth is written in black and white in the press relaese. Wny cant just cant be happy they are hosting it again and be excited we have something to run for. I am excited that we can run again to help law enforecement my favorite part was seeing the offiers and the dogs. my family is in law enforecemnt so this race is very special to my heart
