I have a 13yo mare that was kicked in the knee as a 2yo. It has never bothered her until this summer when I’ve noticed some bony changes in it and one day, after a long day of trailing and working cows, she was sore on it. I gave her bute and she’s been fine since then. The only thing I have been giving her so far is turmeric paste and I started her on that the day after she was showing signs of being sore. Whether it is helping or not, I don’t know.

I’ve been looking at options to keep her sound and was wondering if she might be a good candidate for Osphos? If possible, I would rather go this route than a feed thru supplement as I’ve not had any great results with them.

I do plan on taking her in for xrays to see what is actually going on in the knee, and will discuss any possible options with my vet, just trying to get some ideas here. Thanks!

Yes 100% helped my mare with an arthritic knee. Her range of motion was very poor (even hard to shoe) after the shot she rode a lot smoother and her range of motion increased. Most definitely worth the $$$

That is good to hear! She still has full ROM but when you pick her leg up she brings it the tiniest bit out to the right, so I think there is some discomfort that she is protecting.
