Location: Texas | So I got engaged last week, (Yay!)... and the first two questions I've been getting asked are, have you set a date, and whats your hashtag.
Now that social media is such a "thing" and hashtags are a "thing..." I have no idea of a hashtag to pick. His brother is getting married next october and their hashtag is "meighen2be" so thats not an option.
My future last name (not sure if that will be my practicing last name or if I will just stay Dr. Davang) is Meighen, pronounced "Men." I don't have many ideas of what to do for a stupid freaking hashtag.

It is pronounced 2 ways.. from my Canadian friend
Canada
... say it quickly meeuhn (Mia)
USA
.... say it as megan (mAYgan)
HASHTAG ..
combines both of your names
# dangmee .. lol
from this song ..

My favorite for a country style wedding ..
German's singing red neck music ..
Bride and Groom dance >>>>>

| Congrats on your engagement.
Sorry, I have no ideas for you. I am old and think that this would be at the very bottom of my list of things to think about. |

I know its new and silly, but it does make it really convenient if you want to see all the pictures people take having fun at an event.
And believe me.. it's nowhere near the top of what I'm worrying about right now. #1 is passing my national vet boards that I take in a little over a month. I'm just trying to have some fun. |

I LOVED having a hashtag to be able to see everyone's pictures afterwards. I felt silly coming up with one, but it was so nice. Bonus was coming up with a rhyme for it so my family could figure out how to pronounce my new last name! We did #hotdiggitysigaty. We did koozies for favors and put it on there which I think helped people remember to use it. |

Location: The best kept secret in TX | My cousin used a hashtag for her wedding. She printed off every picture that was under the hashtag on both Fascebook and Instagram and put them in her wedding album. If you download the Shutterfly app they offer Free unlimited prints from your phone and social media accounts. I use it once or twice a month to print pictures off we take as a family. It's free. You just pay shipping. I have albums everywehre now. And I took a few to walmart and reprinted them as 8x10s to frame for the mantle. |
