Is anyone had any issues with the mail services, or AQHA being timely? AQHA claims items from my area should take 3-5 days. I had issues with a registration application taking nearly 3 weeks to show up in their offices. Now, supposedly they've mailed said papers back to me on the 21st, and so far, I do not have them (I have not checked today's mail). I live in south-central KS and can drive to Amarillo in roughly 5 hours!!! I thought it was a fluke deal that my app took so long to get there, but this is getting a bit ridiculous!

I ordered a 5 panel test kit for my stallion. Month passes, I dont receive it, I call them, Oh we mailed it on such a date...Ok never received anything can you remail? Remail the same day, so they say, two weeks pass, call again, remail again. In short, took two calls to finally recieve not one, but two test kits.  I'd keep checking in....

I sent papers in for transfer and to apply for name change on october 11 and transfer and name change were completed on the 21. I'm in northern alberta, Canada. I have yet to receive the papers, but online the changes show. So I would think it's not AQHA.

USPS are a bunch of idiots .. they tried to copy UPS on having centralized
sorting stations and stopped sorting any mail at the local post office to be
delivered next day to the area covered by that local post office.

Here is what happens in OKLAHOMA ..

NO SORTING MAIL AT LOCAL POST OFFICE
ALL MAIL IS BAGGED AND SENT TO TULSA SORTING OFFICE
CERTAIN ZIP CODES ARE THEN SENT TO OKLA CITY TO BE RE SORTED
THEN MY MAIL IS SENT BACK TO THE LOCAL POST OFFICE TO BE RE SORTED AND DELIVERED TO ME .....

It takes 7-10 days for a letter that you mailed to yourself to return to
yourself ...

Oy... Glad to know it's not just me. There is a whole lot to the story, but this has to date cost me an extra $315 (that I'll get back, but still) and COULD have cost me another $97 in fees if I didn't work in my bank...

I have sent in a few sets over the last couple of months and always get them back within 10-14 days. APHA, on the other hand, took like 2 months

I would lean more toward it being AQHA. I sent in transfers and didn't get them back for over a month. Then, they sent me a bunch of bills saying I wasn't a member. I even received a bill AFTER I had talked to them and cleared it up.

While we are having fun with USPS ...

I keep my POB key on my truck key ring and I happened to be close to my post office while driving one of my other vehicles and dropped in and asked for my mail from my box since I had no key.

The Post Master of the post office that I have known for years let me know in no uncertain terms that she could not hand me my mail from my box across the counter because it could cost her her job.

I said ... I don't intend to tell anyone you did ..
She pointed at the security camera and said they download that thing daily and if they decided to review the moment she gave me my mail across the counter they would fire her.

She said she had gotten reprimanded for helping people re-tape their packages due to them seeing it on the camera downloads ... so she was very gun shy of doing anything outside of the NEW policies being made daily by the USPS TIME EVALUATION TEAMS ... that are located in major cities ..... their cause for the taping reprimand was ...... If there had been another person in line the wait for service would have been longer than normal and by taping and handling the box she could have discharged a bomb it may have had in it .....

This is how an oversized government works ... too many people inventing themselves ways to make it look like they are doing something while spying on co workers and American citizens ... grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

This little ditty will probably hit closer to home if you order something off the net that involves USP and their shared shipping program with USPS ... this can really double the time it takes to receive or send a pkg ..

If you live in a rural area that UPS computers decide your address is not on one of their regular routes ..... they will drop your pkg off to a post office designated by the computer to the UPS driver for USPS to complete the delivery ... It is called shared shipping by Amazon .. lol

Story time:
I ordered 2 more powerful wifi routers along with two 2TB external flash drives for my house and travel trailer ...

According to the tracking data over almost 2 months ... it was dropped off to USPS in Hutchins Tx to be delivered by USPS to my address ...

I followed the tracking on this 2x2x2 box and it got to be fun to see where it was going to end up next .... it returned to Hutchins Tx 7 times after making trips to such places as Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri , Okla City, North and South Dakota, Seattle Washington, Albuquerque NM, Phoenix AZ, San Diego CA ... and points in between ... laughing

I had complained to Amazon and they looked at the tracking said that was totally crazy ... apologized and said I would have my computer stuff the next day ...

Would you believe me if I told you ... The next morning around 7:30am a FEDEX van pulled into my driveway and gave me the items I had ordered .... driver said the new stuff came from the Amazon warehouse in Dallas ... and it was his only pkg to deliver ...

What happened to the original 2x2x2 box .... It showed up 9 days later and I notified Amazon ... their email said to accept the stuff as a gift from Amazon at no charge and no return ticket would be written ..... I think they were avoiding any statements I would have made on their standard shipping and service reply thingy they always want you to fill out ... lol ... it was entertaining to see it all unroll ..

FYI: In case you are wondering what I do with the 2TB backup drives .... I backup my computers to one of them and download my DVD movie collection to the others and can play anything I want that since they contain 150 to 200+ movies per unit when I am boondocking in my travel trailer, on my laptop or home tv without the hassle of storing a bunch of DVD's .... the drives are the size of a pack of cigarettes but a little thinner and have the faster 3.0 UBS cords ...
The routers means no cords running from printers, pc's, laptops, speakers or TV's ... and can access wifi hot spots where ever I may be ...

If I order anything offline, I always call and request they send it via FedEx. I have had problems with FedEx but they are timely to fix the problem and always find my package even after they fix the problem and usually still deliver. Even after a refund, or asking the company to ship another of whatever I bought.

You can request to ship via FedEx to any company. More expensive, but it is ensured. Everywhere I order from is in the southern or central US and take 1-2 days tops to get my package. If I don't get it by day 3 I'm calling and FedEx either fixes the problem, changes my driver, or reprmands the driver for not being timely.

I like FedEx.
