I just saw on FB they are closing. The ad says after 38 years it is time for them to retire. Sad news, but good luck to them.

I had $400 in gift cards I had to burn up after I saw that email.  I wanted to use it all for vetrap and Elasticon, but all their horse health stuff was already gone. :(

I bought Christmas gifts instead.

I thought that Smith Brothers was owned by the same people as Dover Saddlery? Their catalogs were certainly set up and looked almost exactly the same.

Just went and bought a few things. Needed new boots for the horses anyway. I thought the same, they were both owned by people who own dover. Very strange

I saw this too! I've been getting emails from them saying their closing. I work near a Dover saddlery and I asked if they were closing too but no one could give me a real answer.

I went to the actual store, they are retiring. They are closing Dec31st or sooner if all stuff is gone. Store was pretty cleaned out too but still got amazing deals. They restock the store every few weeks from whatever they have in their warehouse so the store will keep getting restocked with new things. Better deals at the store than online, super cheap shirts, jeans, and barn supplies.

I don't know if they own Dover too? Not advertised anywhere at their store...

This is funny.  I have a weird additction to winter blankets.  My horses get kicked out in 1000 acres with some cows over the winter, and hardly ever wear blankets.  I almost bought 2 of them because the deal was so good, then decided to restrain myself!! HAHAHA

Bummed that the stuff that I need is already sold out in the common sizes (SMB boots). They did have a show vest that I considered, but no sizing information is listed. :(

I didn't see any cowgirl tuff jeans for less than $60? When you check out, does the price go down?

5 star mohair cinches for $72! Christmas shopping is getting done. I used Smith Brothers a lot, not real happy to see them close.

If you type in "Ice Horse" a bunch of the vaccines come up. I think their site isn't quite functioning correctly.
