Ive been toying with the idea of breeding my mare. Just wanted some opinions on what stud would be a good cross with her. Here is here breeding:

RE: opinions on picking a stud for my mare
I saw your post standing out here all alone and thought I would give
you my 2 cents worth ..
Looking at the sire of your mare ... he got his size from the Doc Olena
and her speed and agility from Jet Of Honor ..
Looking at the dam side of your mare .. there is one gene concern that
may leak thru and give you the conformation of the high withered
and slow muscle reflex that is common with old TB bloodlines.
FYI: As you will notice as you view the 3 stallions I have picked, I
believe in breeding for what the mare needs to improve on her
babies. I also believe in staying with the current well known barrel
horse sire lines that have been successful or I feel are up and
coming future sires ... while maintaining a big level of speed
coming from these sire's families ..

Below you will find what I call stacking a pedigree with speed and
famous barrel horse families in my 2016 palomino filly by
Lions Share of Fame ... this 5 month old filly shows the perfect
barrel horse conformation and speed I breed for along with
maturing at 15.2HH ...
DIAMONDS N BLUEJEANS 2016 palomino filly
this dynamite fillies sire is Lions Share Of Fame and I have already
booked for 2017 to breed her dam to his full brother On A Gator!!
once you see the photo below you will understand why I am staying
with the same family of genes for a 2018 foal ..

Thank you so much for your input. I am a little concerned with lion share of fame, my best friend has one and she is winning on her but the mare is spooky and she said she will never own another one again. Another friend has one and he is terrible. The other person who has one has him up for sale she doesn't like him at all. My mare is already a handful very dominant Alfa mare who is not a easy horse to deal with. Big attitude problem.

I see that assessment about a lot of good stallions on BHW. LSOF get are doing a lot of rodeo events other than barrel racing and to be competitive they are showing to be rock solid and not miss a step.
I always think about the advice given to me by my granddad as I grew up ...
"You can tell a lot about a horse by looking at the type of person that rode
up on them."
Another tidbit: If a person expects a horse to do something they will ..
on the other hand .. if you expect a horse is not going to cross the creek
they won't ..
Over the years I have bought a lot of horses like you describe from
people that had bought too much horse for their riding //horsemanship
skills.
A horse can read the level of confidence and skills of a rider in a very short time ...
And if a rider can't adapt to a horse's way of going or his previous training ...
they are just begging for trouble ... lol
GOOD LUCK on finding something !!

Honestly, I'm not real high on the LSOF either. Blazen Jetolena has worked on multiple mares. Jet of Honor has worked really well on both Firewater Flit and Frenchmans Guy. The C-N stallion service auction is going on now and ends tonight. Go check it out because there are some awsome awsome deals to be had. I'd really look at both Repete Fame and Streakin Ta Fame.
