Regular Posts: 82	We use adequan and have had good results with it, it doesn't replace getting injections (if that is the problem) but it helps to keep ours feeling better. We use it as more of a preventative or maintenance type of thing... It also works wonders on people ;)

Adequan goes INTO all joints of the body and helps to repair cartlidge within the joint. It is also used as a great preventative. The shot you give today takes 28 days to really start working. Legend binds to inflammatory receptors outside the joint. It starts working in aboiut 4 hours and lasts only 24-48 total hours. Most people give both!

My mare gets injections and she's also on 1/4 tab previcox daily per my vet along with monthly adequan injections (I did the loading dose). Are previcox and legend similar?

Not even close lol previcox is a Non Steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Used for pain and inflammation. Same drug class as bute , banamine etc. legend is an HA product used for joint lubrication.
