Location: ND | Most of you guys will remember both of these 2 horses.....
Basically Im Lucky (Quigley) is one of the babies I raised, trained & am now competing on. He's out of a great mare, Midnight By Lucky, who is also the dam of Frenchmans Elvis! I was so lucky to own that mare for the last few years of her life & she gave me two incredible babies.......Early this spring I decided that due to soundness issues my palomino was retired from the shooting arena & took the gamble of throwing my favorite young horse into the arena pretty unprepared. This summer was his first season of shooting AND his first season of competition. He hauled like a seasoned horse from day one & took to shooting super easy......ending the year as the CMSA ND Women's High Point Champion, NDMSA Women's Level 3 Champion, and NDMSA Women's High Point!
Then there's Cowbowin A French RS (Bubbles).....I bought her as a weanling & did all of her training until 2 years ago when I put my brother on her. Last year they had a rough summer learning each others ways & many times Jason wanted to give up on her, but I kept pushing him to stick it out as I knew once they got through the bumps they'd make a killer team.....this year she took off, learned to love her job AND her rider. She has fast become his favorite horse & he's planning on her being his main horse next season! Along with our good horse Cash, Bubbles carried Jason to the CMSA ND Men's High Point Champion, NDMSA Mens Level 5 Champion and was NDMSA Overall High Point!!! I can't wait to see what the future holds for the two of them.....
