| Ecclesiastes 10:19,20 A feast is made for laughter, and wine makes merry; But money answers everything. But not curse the king, even in your thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, and a bird in flight may tell the matter.
It's CHRISTmas. For many is is the great day of celebration honoring the birth of our Lord Jesus. Families gather, presents are opened, carols are sung, as a result, it is a day of genuine happiness. But not for everyone.
For others , this will not be a day of joy; rather, it will be a bother day of disappointment. In the midst of that disappointment, and even despair, it is easy to agree with Solomon when he wrote in Ecclesiastes , " Money answers everything". If only there were more money, the celebration could be good! If only I were rich, if only I could be king, it was those who believed that struggles could be erased with enough money and laughter that Solomon wrote, " Woe to you, O land, when your king is a child"
It's a childish idea to believe money answers everything. Money can provide food, shelter,and clothing, and even packages under the tree. But money can't protect from disappointment, disillusion, and despair. Money can't fix a broken soul or fill an empty heart, no one really knows how much money is worth until discovering how little it can buy. Whether in abundance or lack, don't complain , compare, or covet. Instead , say THANK YOU to King Jesus.
The great news of this day is that there is such a King. He was born a child, He grew, and in His maturity died to pay for sins of the world and rose from the dead so EACH individual can KNOW Him as their Lord and savior. This King is Jesus Christ. He is the One who is able to bring order and meaning in life in such a way that genuine laughter will be heard and a feast of deep satisfaction can be enjoyed!
For it is WITH God ALL things ARE Possible
