| My favorite has been the Charlie One Horse or Resistol and I fold the back band Down right before I run and pull it down. It makes it tighter but I have to take it off right after I run or I'll get a headache lol. I don't like stampede strings, they drive me crazy. |

| Whatever fits your head! Charlie 1 horse doesn't have a deep enough crown for my head. Even just wearing them to try on, they look dry perched on the top of my head.
I think I have a Stetson right now. I'd really like an American Hat co one and am kicking myself for not getting one when the jr high finals were in Des Moines.
I now run in a helmet, but when I did wear a hat I always bought cheap ones to run in because popping the crown, flipping out the liner and smashing the thing on my head always seemed really rough on a nice hat. |

Location: SW North Dakota | American Hats- I have a plain black felt that fits my weirdly shaped pin-head very well and STAYS ON. I just bought a straw hat when they were on sale this fall (also American and I got it 50% off). This is the first straw thatI've found to fit, EVER! I bought it "raw" and had the crown shaped with the square "box" style. This was the ticket for me, because it left enough space to sit down on my head, the cattlemen's crease doesn't allow that unless I get the freaky 1970's tall crowns. This one looks super cute, so I'm excited!! |

Location: Idaho | I have 2 Stetsons, I would love a Charlie One but since I switched to helmets it is hard for my to want to buy a new hat anymore. But I love my Stetsons, they are comfy and looks nice :) One of them has signatures of a bunch of NFR world champs on it (Cody Ohl, Charmayne James, Trevor Brazile..) and then I painted and blinged up my second one. :) |

I get Resistols each year for straws, the ones with the comfort sweat band. They are awesome and not too expensive. |

| I've got Americans and Rodeo Kings. I think it makes a big difference if you get them shaped to your head and wear them until they dry fit wise. Otherwise I fold down the back band to keep them on. I had a hat fly in front of my face one time and stay there with a stampede string and that was the end of those! |

Location: MN | I couldnt get my Charlie 1 to stay on my head for squat!! And I paid $250 for it almost eight years ago and only wore it 5 times! So needless to say, that one is justting sitting in my closet because I cant find anyone who has a 7 1/8th size head! lol. My Bailey's straw hat fits me like a glove. I have a felt Stetson also that fits but it gives me headaches now, so I'll be searching for a new one. I want an American SO bad but I am so scared to buy one without trying it on first! |

The best hat I own is an American grizzly. It fits amazing!! My #2 is a black American felt. |

I have a buckskin (the original) one, AND a black grizzly, lol. I think I may have a problem. I want a chocolate one someday. |
