Location: Nowhere Land | Looking into buying a custom FT saddle. Can't seem to find much info on them or reviews...
So ??
Have you ridden in them? Fitted them on your horses? Do they run true to size? Any info would be appreciated!

I thought the same. I've seen pics of them on horses as well and I think they look like they sit funny on a horse. Maybe that was just because people bought the saddle because of the name vs the fit. I'm not sure. |

I kinda feel sorry for her because I agree, based on past sold horses and some of her products I don't think I'd want to buy anything really from her; at least not right now. It does seem like after a while her products get better but she sells so much it just makes me weary... |

| I sat in one at Tesky's before Christmas because I was curious too.... It was the leopard seat one.. lets just say I will stick with my Double J Lynn Mckenzie

| I looked at some in Vegas, I really looked over the solid roughout ones and couldn't believe she was selling them. They literally looked glued together, my mom thought it was a joke, because Fallon is so blingy that she would sell a plain as can be saddle! I guess she has the brand she can sell anything she wants and people will buy it. |

This is very true. I know people who love her but Unfortunately I've never been a fan. I personally knew someone who bought a horse from her.. spent a LOT of money, supposed to be a 1D pro caliber horse with a matching price tag. When the horse arrived, not only was it not the horse advertised, but it was severely under weight and three legged lame. She had to keep the horse, and she sold it for about $1500 after nursing it back to health. FT wouldn't respond to her at all, wouldn't fix it. She basically screwed her over without a second thought. I refuse to buy anything from FT. |

| FT aside, aren't her saddles made by Cactus? I tried a cactus saddle (Marlene McRae) and loved the quality.
Ultimately, the brand makes the product and she endorses it right? I guess I wouldn't shy away from something because she endorses it if I trust the maker behind it. JMO

Yes...but after having looked at them at the NFR, as well, I also wasn't impressed. Sad...Cactus usually has a very solid product. I would definitely stick with my old Cactus CJ Record Breaker over the FT. |

LM Saddles are the Median Saddles from Dble J with a name thrown on them for price increase as well. You can't compare the three to each other because they are all from different branches of a saddle manufacturer. Each saddle brand will always have a higher end, a median end and a lower end. It's how they try and get business from those looking to spend $3-$5k as well as those looking to keep it under $1k.
It's unfair to each saddle to compare them when they are all from different branches of each manufacturer.
In all honesty Cactus will build you a saddle that looks just like FT's saddles for half the price with the tree that fits your horse. Call and order a custom made saddle. They're cheaper and will most likely have better leather if you request it. |
