Location: North Dakota | I rode an Ivory James son that came off the track with a 101 speed index. He was wicked fast between barrels and really sat and rated hard. I was amazed with his natural ability to rate considering his speed and the fact he was all run, top and bottom. I also futuritied the last couple years against some sons and daughters of PYC Paint Your Wagon. They were really talented and fast. My futurity mare this year is out of a CC daughter and she has taken to the barrels like a fish in water. She is all run, top and bottom as well.
I personally like the CC's I have ridden and watched work. There are winners out there by the "bigger named" CC sons, but the only downfall is the high stud fees that come along with it (granted you can find some sons with lower stud fees). Most aren't sought after as barrel sires due to the price tags, but if their offspring don't cut it on the track, they sometimes fall into the right barrel racing hands. |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | Ivory James and his full brother PYC Paint Your Wagon have had some nice winners. The PYC's are pretty pricey and doing so well on the track that I don't think you will see as many in the arena. |

Location: Oxford, Kansas | I have a coming 4 yr old by a Corona Cartel son that is wicked smart and easy going, run on top and bottom but is one of quietest horses I know. He is taking to everything I show him and is coming along very nicely for having 10 rides off the track. I'm excited to see what he turns into. |

| We have several by Coronas Velvet, they all go to the racetrack first. They all run well, they are the type of horses that need someone to spend time with them. Whether its in race training or running barrels, the ones that suceed are the ones that people invest more that your cookie cutter program with. Some times slow and steady gets you a lot further than a blitz training program. We like them, they work for us. I will say that the babies by our Mr Jess Perry son are easier as far as handling, halter breaking etc at this point in the game. They just come out wanting to be your friend, where the Coronas need to bond with you a little before they trust you.

Location: Mississippi | I have a 5 yr old son of Ivory James that I adore ! He is of of the sweetest horses that I have ever been around and very smart! He won a good bit on the track and was patterned but was pretty malnourished when I got him last year so I have spent much of the time putting weight back on him and getting him in shape. I have let him take his own pace for now and I think he has a very promising future. He does get nervous at a race (like actually shaking nervous) but very laid back in everyday riding and handling. I wouldn't hesitate to own another! |

| Thank you all for your input I appreciate it very much. I'm seriously considering breeding a CC son to my total cow bred mare just to see what I get. What I have researched I like. Thanks again everyone! |

Location: Cold Tundra | I love my Ivory James 6 year old. He's really rates and turns, with a lot of run. He's super quiet, and easy to have around. I wish I have a couple more like him.

all of the ones I've seen and ridden have been very ratey. But it could also be the trainers style of riding as well. There are a couple Cartel Dancer colts in my area that are almost TOO ratey. But all have speed. |

Location: Missouri | I had an opportunity to breed my mare to Sizzlin Red Corona. Not a son, something like a 3/4 brother. I am in love with my foal! He's a coming yearling and a looker! And so far, very sensible.
Sizzlin is a bargain, imo. He ran as an aged stallion and set three NTR in Canada. He's standing in Oklahoma now.
Not sure how to post pics from my phone :(
