If you have seen Secretariat in awhile, it is on Lifetime. Just started at 7.

Watched it, love it. Gave me a good feeling all day today. Sports Illustrated chose him as one of the top 20 athletes of the 20th century. The only non-human. He certainly was.

Fell in love with him when I was 8 years old, watched the races on my Hobby Horse and practiced switching my stick (crop)from hand to hand. The plan at 8 was to win an Olympic medal in gymnastics and then become the first woman jockey to win the Triple Crown on a horse just like Secretariat. I hadn't realized at 8 they don't make them like that everyday.
Broke a spring on my Hobby Horse during the Preakness on our move from last to first on the turn, LOL!!!! and finished it on 3 springs. I still think that race is his most under rated one. You don't see 3 year olds make that type of move on the first turn and carry it to the wire. My appreciation of him has only grown over the years.

At least twice a year I have to watch the replay of his Belmont race. To this day it is the most amazing race I have ever watched. I don't think there will be another horse like him ever.

Watched the races years ago, read the book, and watch the movie every time it's on and I know about it (also have DVD for when the urge hits!). I still get goose bumps and teary eyed watching that phenomenal display of athleticism and power and beauty. He was simply amazing.
