| So I've decided I'm going to be purchasing a new saddle as a birthday present to me! I don't have tons of knowledge about saddles and something I look forward into learning more about. What saddles do you guys really like to use?
Pozzi's catch my eye and are pretty, but have heard some people don't like them? If I'm going to be dropping money on a saddle I want to make sure it will be comfortable and nice!! (And also will be making sure it fits my horse)
I have 2 currently, Circle Y and one by Top Hand Saddlery and love them to death, but before I buy another one made by either of them I want to explore some options first!
So what brand is your saddle, or what is one that you absolutly love!
(I've tried a Lynn Mckenzie Special Edition and I didn't care for it, felt like it threw me forward to much.)
Bob Marshells also look pretty nice, and rode in one before but felt like I couldn't get up enough to get forward motion, but did give me a nice and good, deap seat.
So many options!!!!

| I like my Double J Pro sits me nice and fits all my horses. My sister has the new Sharon Camarillos from Reinsman, they also seem to fit a good amount of horses and sit you nice as well. My rope saddle is a Slone.... And I LOVE IT! Everything about it is perfect for me :) |

Location: Wonderful Wyoming | My favorite saddle is the Meleta Brown. It fits so nice-the horse and myself. I bought it used though because I'm not sure they are making them anymore, at least not by Crates. My pretty pretty saddle is an Ammerman. I really like it, it's a really wide gullet which fits some and not others...so it sits undera saddle cover most of the year.

| Saddle's are such a personal preference thing.
I've owned a wide variety of brands from Martins to Circle Y's (I'm confused about what you mean by Circle Y by Top Hand though they're 2 different brands?)
It's s PITA but worth trying a bunch to figure out what fits you and your horse. I currently have Triple Creeks, I like the way they ride, I like the way they fit my horses, that's what matters to me, not the bling or name attached to them.
I'd be curious to try the Martin BTR's, but I didn't care for the crown c or fx3's. The Pozzi also threw me forward, but I've never tried a Pro. |

| Realized I worded that very poorly, I have two saddles, one a circle y and one by top hand saddlery!
I really love both but like my custom one by THS more.
I'm really interested in all different brands, wish I could ride in all and see what I like! |

| I've ridden many and a Caldwell is by far my favorite I probably wine ever ride another brand- you can send pics of your horse and talk with Charon at Caldwell saddles and she can steer you to the right tree for your horse |

Location: Georgia | Ive had so many saddles. So far Performace Saddle Company (PSC is my favorite, they are simular to Caldwells but not as pricey and better customer service. I recently got a shiloh contender as my second saddle, not impressed. Really liked the way it rode and sat but was not impressed with how it fit either of my horses (which have completly different backs.) |

Location: Phoenix | The most important thing is saddle fit. I would try on as many saddles as you can to see what works for your horse. Go to barrel races, ask your friends if you can try on their saddle.
i really like my Tod Slone barrel/roper combo and I would buy a TS barrel saddle in a heartbeat if I had the spare money. These saddles fit me and my horse very well.

Location: Mississippi | I LOVE LOVE my Caldwell - to me there is no comparison. Although they are pricier than most brands, I think you definitely get your moneys worth in comfort and quality. Charon will help you with getting a perfect fit for you and your horse. I also have an older Martha Josey Circle Y that I will never part with (mostly for sentimental reasons but it also fits good) and a Charmayne James Cactus that only fit my mare who is now retired.
If your budget will allow, I would definitely look into a Caldwell. Once you find out what tree you need, you can also look at used ones - there is a FB group for Used Caldwells that you may have luck finding what you need.

| I currently ride in a Debra Sibley and I do love that saddle. Its comfort is beyond any other. It also has the flex tree and seems to fit a good variety of horses. I have a RS saddle from a local saddlery as my colt saddle and they hold up super nice but wouldn't say are extremely comfortable.
However, I LOVED the Marlene McCrae by Cactus. It didn't fit my gelding right but I loved the look, quality and feel of it. |

| I LOVE my Ammerman. I'd suggest riding some different saddles to find the one that fits you best. |

thank you! The sting ray inserts actually sparkle! I could ride the ugliest horse in the world and no one would notice with that saddle |

| Do not get a crown c if you thought the Lynn mackenzie threw you forward.
Tod Sloan saddles are nice, and have forward hung stirrups. The diamond s (also Tod sloan are cheaper and assembly line made) are cheaper and not as good quality.
It all depends on your horse and how much money you want to spend.

Location: Jersey Girl | I also LOVE Ammermans. I currently have a Cactus Marlene. I like that to but will prob sell it a some point and go back to the Ammermans. I only changed because I had a hard to fit horse.
Another suggestion- try out as many different saddles as you can. Some you might not like how they ride, no matter how pretty they are. |

Location: Silver Lake, MN | I love my Shilohs as well. For me they ride very balanced and more closer contact, doesn't have a bulky feeling to me. And they fit the types of horses I ride. I love the Caldwells but my budget didn't so Shiloh was it. They are very affordable for what they are. I have 2 contenders and a finalist. Debating on selling one since I only have 1 horse now. LOL. |
