| I know a few that do and it's been great for them. Hips are easy, knees are hard. That's what I learn from working around older folks lol! |

Location: Texas | that's awesome! ... I'm looking at having a hip replacement, I currently have a fused hip and I'm hoping for a good out come. I am just nervous of not knowing if I could barrel race and rodeo anymore! |

| One of the ladies in my office is having hers redone specifically because she can't stand to be a couch jockey and an "old lady" at 67. Once she gets it done she will go back to kicking my butt again (I am in my 30's.) Her doctor told her it takes about 1 year to fully heal and then she will be good as new.
There are a few in our district that have hip replacements and they are definitely spry! |

| One of my very good friends races with a hip replacement and there are at least 2 others in this area that I know of who race. |

You should look into MFR therapy and start it before your surgery and after. It does an amazing job with all the muscles that are involved. Good Luck!
If you can't find a therapist in this directory, call them and they should be able to find one for you as many therapists don't advertise in the directory.

Location: on the fine line between insanity and geniusness | I can't speak for a replacement, but I've had hip surgery at a young age. I had a severe labral tear repair at 25 and never looked back. Before surgery, I had to use a stool to get off and on my horses and lived off of Tylenol and aleve. I used an associate of Tandy Freeman's in Dallas and he was phenomenal!! Go for it!!! Do all of the therapy- and then some!

Location: Texas | I'm not sure that the MFR therapy would help any, I don't have a hip joint at all its a solid bone.
I will definitely keep you guys posted!
Thank yall again for the response! |
