Pretty cool, huh? And decent fee! The more I think about it I think I will stay with Jesses Double Dee this year and plan on him for next year since he'll be standing a while |

Location: Silver Lake, MN | I love appys and will own one someday...but I know it will not be bought for resale. BUT...I do think they are going to be getting more popular with some of the bloodlines out there with Ivory King and Pikee who is a son of Furrtreeous. |

This is really good advice- and I do run the chance of a solid marketless baby:/ |

| We had a double six domino mare "ex race horse" years ago. Fastest horse I have ever ridden. We never did anything competitive with her but the people that bought her were very successful with her. She was a running machine and just loved it.
Crossing her with a lot of the modern successful barrel horse would have made a beast of a horse. And the rest of his QH pedigree looks great. I say go for it!

I mean, yes. You are Crazy. LOL But at least the guy is built well and has a great top half of his pedigree. You do run the risk of a solid baby and regardless of talent or color your resale value won't be as much as an AQHA or even APHA. But if you are happy with your choice and plan to raise and ride the baby for just you and not profit, then I say by all means breed. |

So update- my brain took over this year and both (just got a sweet deal on a daughter of Cartel Success out of a daughter of In Excess (TB) my mares are going to Jesses Double Dee. I agree the point would be lost if I got a solid- still trying to decide if that's a risk I wanna take. But maybe on teh CC mare I could still sell solid baby as race prospect I dunno. More research to do.
THEN- maybe next year, 1 to A Smooth Guy and might sneak some spots out of this guy for the other
