| I just switched to Kroes Feet and like them. I just asked this question as well. The twisted walls sound good too, I just ran across a used set of Kroes feet first. |

| I like the tough 1 slanted stirrups. Had regular Walls and the Tough 1s are comparable and WAY cheaper. |

Location: Georgia | I like my slanted Walls better than the slanted/twisted version. But I just got a pair of Nettles and I like them better than my Walls. |

Location: Mississippi | I have the Walls slanted on both of my saddles. But boy do they hurt when they bang into your shin - never fails no matter how careful I am pulling my saddle out of the trailer, I always whack myself with the stirrups |

| I broke my ankle last year and have limited mobility now. I have the original crooked stirrups. They have been great! |

Location: Texas | I just bought a pair like this because I wanted to try out an inexpensive pair to make sure that I like them before investing in a more expensive pair of stirrups. I love them! I did not want a rubber tread, and I could not find a "barrel type" slanted stirrup with a leather tread. And many of the all metal ones I found were way expensive. Are the all metal ones slippery? Seems like they would be. I felt so comfortable while riding, and did not experience the pain I am used to feeling. I have the pre-twisted stirrup leathers, so I did not need a twisted stirrup, only the slanted feature.

I have 3 pairs of the all metal ones, on my barrel saddle I use duct tape placed on sticky side out and then on my two roping saddles I put a couple of wraps of vet wrap around the bottom. Both of those just make them a little more slip resistant |

| I just ordered a pair of the Kroes Feet Stirrups. My right knee and ankle hurt if I ride more than 30 minutes. |

Location: South Dakota | I would suggest Nettles stirrups with the Leveler! I have had ankle issues since I was in high school and had multiple surgeries and I had a lot of pain riding. Since switching to the Nettles my ankle is 100 percent better. |

Location: So. Cali. | I have the SA Walls slanted. Havent tried the twist yet. They are the only thing I ride in. I notice such a big difference now if I try and jump into a friends saddle and ride their horse. I did buy a pair of the Tough 1's once and they were not balanced so I never tried again. |

Location: The barn...where else? SW Missouri | I ride twisted slanted Walls on my trail saddle. It helps so much!!! We ride 3 to 4 hours and more at a time and my knees feel so much better with these stirrups. I have just regular Walls on my Caldwell barrel saddle and love those too. |

Location: The Great Northwest | I use the barrel racers Slant Stirrups and have a strip of non-slip tape on the tread. Seldom loose a stirrup and these stirrups are so nice I feel so balanced. |

Location: Phoenix | I have the Original Crooked stirrups and I like them but my ankles do hurt sometimes!! I think it's because they're slanted down and then my heels are down a little. Hmmmm..... |

| I rode in the slanted stirrups that have the round nut sticking out on both sides of the bar that holds stirrups to saddle fenders. NRS has stirrups I'm describing but other companies carry them. I am short legged and I was constantly touching my mare's sides with the stirrups-she started pinning her ears and kicking out behind when I loped her to the right (guess I was hitting her harder to the right than left). I changed stirrups and she smoothed out loping, quit pinning her ears and kicking out. If you're short legged really check out any stirrup you buy. |

| I have knee and hip pain and I can ONLY use slanted stirrups, as soon as I put weight on traditional stirrups, my knee aches. I bought the Original Crooked ones back when they first came out for $140 - expensive but ended up being totally worth it. They are all aluminum and never have had a problem with them being slippery unless I'm riding in my leather-sole boots. I now have the Originals plus three pairs of the slanted 3" Walls. Love them all. The only thing that I don't like about the aluminum Originals is that they are loud. My stirrups hang right about even with my cinch rings and so the stirrups clang when they hit the ring whether I am in them or not. |
