I looked at Stallion Stations and Vet clinics. Be mindful of the chute fees if it's an outside stallion. If you choose a resident stud you may not have to pay a chute fee since the owner is paying to keep the stud there.

Facebook has a lot of studs but I find working with a vet you know and trust a lot easier. Have your vet contact the vet the stud is standing at and get a plan set up. Much easier IMO.

Barrel Horse News has a stallion issue, you may be able to pull it up online if you're not a subscriber. Also, Speedhorse if you're looking for running bred.

There are 1000's of places to look at stallions. One is right here. There are facebook pages dedicated to stallions.

Once you've looked around a bit, put a pencil to paper and narrow down what you are looking for. Then target your search to those qualities.

What has stud produced
Look up pics of baby owners n look at those momma horses confirmation n see if baby has good confirmation.
Young horse owners n finished owners if stud has them out there
What has mare done/or produced
Bloodlines cow? Run? Combo?
The list just keeps going

Also great catalogs are looking at the incentive fund programs. They have full details on every stallion enrolled. Go to Future Fortunes, Triple Crown 100, BBR.

The cowhorse who is the most prolific sire of barrel horses is PG Dry Fire. He has sired futurity winners, 1D winners, tuff rodeo horses and American Qualifiers.  https://www.facebook.com/PG-Dry-Fire-181592491866302/
